How long can I keep records when I open an ID card?
There are two main types of hotel room registration: one is relatively backward paper registration. It is generally believed that paper hotel registration records need to be kept for 3 years for reference. From the perspective of financial management, paper should be kept for 15 years as a business voucher, but in fact, hotels and guesthouses without networking are very small, and there are few sound financial systems and professional accounting. The other is online registration, which is more common in cities. As long as the system memory is large enough, it can basically be saved permanently from a technical point of view.
The personnel inside the public security system cannot be deleted, and they have no right to modify. Under normal circumstances, the police have no right to inquire about citizens' personal opening records at will. Only when the immediate family members report that their family members are lost or citizens are suspected of committing crimes, will the police inquire about their room opening records to determine their whereabouts. As for deleting the record of opening a house, it is unlikely that this kind of operation will occur in the actual police work at present, and it will go through complicated application and approval procedures, and ordinary policemen of public security organs below the municipal level have no authority to delete it.
Legal basis: Article 6 of the Measures for the Administration of Public Security in Hotel Industry stipulates that hotels must register when they receive passengers. At the time of registration, the passenger's identity documents shall be checked and truthfully registered according to the prescribed items. The reception of overseas tourists should submit the accommodation registration form to the local public security organ within 24 hours.
Article 253 of the Criminal Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) violates the relevant provisions of the state by selling or providing personal information of citizens to others. If the circumstances are serious, he shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention and shall also or only be fined; If the circumstances are especially serious, he shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than seven years and shall also be fined.
