What is the principle of dimming glass (atomization glass)?

The name of intelligent dimming film is PDLC (abbreviation of Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal in English, translated as "polymer dispersed liquid crystal" in Chinese), also known as liquid crystal film, dimming film, dimming glass film or smart film. This technical principle comes from the United States, and many enterprises at home and abroad have improved and optimized the preparation technology. At home, Zhonghe Technology won the second prize of 20 15 National Technological Invention for the preparation technology of special liquid crystal material dimming film.

Intelligent dimming glass is made by using the existing dry laminated glass production process, and the dimming film is firmly bonded between two ordinary float glasses through the interlayer intermediate film.

Atomization glass's principle: In the natural state, the liquid crystal molecules inside are arranged irregularly, the refractive index of the liquid crystal is lower than that of the polymer outside, and the incident light is scattered in the polymer layer, showing milky white, that is, opaque. After electrifying, the dispersed liquid crystal molecules quickly change from random arrangement to directional regular arrangement, so that the refractive index of liquid crystal is equal to that of polymer, and the incident light can completely pass through, forming a transparent state. Opacity and transparency can be changed at will in an instant.
