The Palace of the Dragon King
The Palace of the Dragon King, formerly known as the "Emperor-built Anlan Dragon King Temple", is located in Zaohe, an ancient town 20 kilometers northwest of Suqian City. The building complex was first built in the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty and rebuilt in the 23rd year of Kangxi reign. Later, it was restored and expanded by Emperors Yongzheng, Qianlong and Jiaqing, forming a northern official-style building complex covering an area of ??36 acres, with four courtyards and three enclosed courtyards. Emperor Qianlong visited the south of the Yangtze River six times and stayed here five times. He built pavilions and monuments and spent money on repairs, so it is also commonly known as "Qianlong's Palace". In 1983, in order to protect this precious cultural heritage, the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government announced it as a provincial cultural relic protection unit. The Longwang Temple palace complex has a strict layout, a large scale, a clear axis, left and right symmetry, and is majestic and majestic. From south to north, the entire building complex is divided into six parts. The southernmost end is the ancient theater building. On the north side of the Royal Stele Pavilion is the Dragon King Hall, the main building of the Dragon King Temple Palace. Emperor Qianlong stayed at the Dragon King Temple five times, where he discussed political affairs and worshiped gods and ancestors.
The last courtyard of the Dragon King Temple Palace is the bedroom of Emperor Qianlong. Also known as the Yuwang Palace, the Yuwang Palace is a palace-style masterpiece with yellow glazed tiles and dragon kisses on the roof.
