Search around Xitang in your own car and experience the slow life in Jiangnan!

It’s been a long time since I took the Fit on a self-driving trip. Taking advantage of the two-day high-temperature holiday, I decided to drive the Fit to Xitang Ancient Town alone.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, I rarely take public transport even when traveling far away, so I chose to drive myself for this trip.

Having been driving it for more than two years, the interior is still very well maintained. I also pay attention to car maintenance.

Since I usually drive the car alone and rarely have people in the back seat, there is almost no wear and tear.

This Fit is a stock car. I have neither modified nor pushed it into the sea. Compared with the various modified cars on the street, I still like the purity brought to me by the original factory (mainly No money to invest in modification). In addition to the impact of the epidemic, another reason why I choose to drive by myself is that the Fit saves fuel. The fuel consumption has been hovering between 6 and 7 in the two years since I picked up the car. Maybe this is also closely related to my Buddhist driving habits.

I started from the Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway, passed through the Shenjiahu Expressway and got off at the Xitang exit (the total journey took 40 minutes). After getting off the expressway, I drove for about 15 minutes to Xitang Ancient Town. (The total journey takes about an hour).

The first stop when we arrived in Xitang was to check in at the Blank Art Hotel. The decoration here is very artistically designed, with mostly wood colors as the main color.

Even the dish on which the soap is placed is so exquisite. The entire hotel is filled with a lot of Chinese style elements, and you can feel the designer's intention.

After putting down the luggage, we went out to look for food. There are countless snacks in Xitang, of all kinds, and the food here is full of Jiangnan characteristics.

The stinky tofu is particularly fragrant and costs 5 yuan and eight yuan. This price can be said to be quite affordable.

Another portion of mochi, dipped in brown sugar powder tastes particularly delicious and not greasy.

After filling your stomach, come to the riverside to enjoy the river scenery. You can also choose to take a awning boat to shuttle through the south of the Yangtze River. The ticket is 15 yuan per person.

In addition to special food, there are also many folk artists here.

The open-air alley located on Xiaxi Street, Xitang Town, was built in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. The stepped gables on the left and right walls of Shipi Lane are 6-10 meters high, and their ancient and unique style has been completely preserved.

As you walk along the alley, you will see many shops, each with its own characteristics. There are all kinds of weird handicrafts here.

There are also many literary and artistic bars in the town. It is a good place to have a drink or two in the evening and enjoy the slow life of Xitang.

The slow life in Xitang makes people feel very comfortable. This is a place that you want to go to again! Friends who are interested can see it with their own eyes.
