Yucheng County, Shangqiu City, Henan Province, was named "Hometown of Mulan in China" by China Folk Writers Association. In order to commemorate Mulan, Yucheng County, Shangqiu, Henan Province also has Mulan Middle School, Mulan Railway Station, Mulan Hotel, Mulan Resort, Mulan Industry Group, Mulan Militia Company and Mulan Colossus.

Shangqiu also established Mulan Wushu Association, Mulan Drum Team and Mulan Dragon Dance Team. On the eighth day of April every year, on Mulan's birthday, people come to offer sacrifices, and the temple fair is grand.
