After the hotel collapsed, many rescue forces, such as fire fighting, medical treatment and emergency management, rushed to the scene for treatment at the first time, requiring large equipment to operate. The rescue was completed five days after the accident. The direct cause of the hotel's collapse this time is that the original four floors were illegally added with mezzanine, and seven floors were built, which made the lower part overwhelmed and always on the verge of collapse. In addition, before the collapse, the bottom supporting steel bars were illegally welded, which destroyed the stability of steel columns and led to the decline of the ultimate bearing capacity of buildings.

In addition, the person in charge of Xinjia Hotel ignored the laws and regulations of national urban and rural planning, construction, safety production, administrative licensing and other laws and regulations, and illegally built and constructed. And related engineering quality inspection, architectural design, fire detection, decoration design institutions illegally undertake business, issue false reports, and make false materials to help enterprises pass the examination and approval.
