What does gcc mean?
GCC is the market access certificate for products entering the Gulf Cooperation Council member states.
Data expansion:
Starting from January 1, 2011, the Middle East Standardization Organization GSO exports to seven countries in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Sudan of Oman) Kingdom of Bahrain, Yemen) implements mandatory Gmark certification for toys.

After the implementation of this regulation, some low-voltage electrical equipment manufactured locally or imported into the country’s market in the seven Gulf countries (including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and Yemen) must meet this requirement. Regulation BD-142004-01 has been fully enforced on July 1, 2016. After January 1, 2017, low-voltage electronics that have been certified locally in the Gulf countries or imported into the country’s market Electrical appliances must be printed with a G mark with a QR code and the issuing agency number.
G-mark certification mark:
1. Non-mandatory products: apply for customs clearance documents according to the previous process.
2. Mandatory products: The products are tested and the GCC type certification certificate is issued by the accreditation agency designated by GSO (Gulf Standardization Organization).
G-mark certification controlled product scope:
Currently the following 13 specific categories of electrical products have been included in the scope of GCC compulsory certification, and must obtain GCC issued by an accreditation agency designated by GSO Type certification certificates can be circulated among the seven Gulf member states only if the product is marked with G-mark. Products printed with the G-mark mark indicate that the product has complied with the GCC technical regulations.
