One year, there was a drought, the fields cracked, the crops withered, and it was difficult for people and animals to drink water.

At this time, the little white dragon in the East China Sea passed through Chaozhou and saw the terrible situation of severe drought in the area. He knew that this was a catastrophe arranged by the Jade Emperor, but he couldn't bear to have so many people killed by drought. A rain order was immediately issued, which completely relieved the local drought.

Xiao Bailong was banished to the mortal world for "breaking the dogma". The little white dragon that fell into the mortal world was surrounded by people, and Jiao Lao and his daughter came out of the crowd. People shed tears and were deeply moved when they learned the reason. At this time, the "Huang Batian" family and their fox dog came. It turned out that he heard that eating dragon meat could make him live forever, so he peeled and boned the little white dragon. Due to its deterrent, everyone had to leave slowly with sadness and anger.

In the evening, Jiao Lao and his daughter buried the keel and dragon skin at the edge of Bailongtan. Nourished by the pool, they came back to life and drove back to the Dragon Palace in the East China Sea. Soon, Xiaobailong discovered that the Jade Emperor had decided to turn Chaozhou into a lake to provide water for hundreds of miles in Fiona Fang. After hearing the news, he first thought of Jiao Lao and the villagers there. So he once again risked "leaking secrets" and came to Jiao Lao's house in the middle of the night to tell her the news of being trapped in the lake and said: There is a stone turtle at the east gate of the city. If its eyes turn red, the nest will fall down, and you and the villagers will leave quickly, and then it will float away as a breeze. From then on, Jiao Lao went to see the turtle's eyes every day. One day, the turtle's eyes turned red as expected. Jiao Lao and his daughter quickly told the villagers separately and quickly transferred. Most residents in Chaozhou believed Jiao Lao's words and left Chaozhou for refuge. However, there are also a few people who don't believe, or don't want to leave their homes, and can't bear to abandon their rural houses. Jiao Lao tried to persuade them to leave quickly. When Jiao Lao's family finally left the nest state, there was a loud noise, the sky was falling, the waves were rolling, the nest state was submerged, and the "Ba Huang Tian" gang was involved in the abyss. The villagers didn't suffer because they left early, but Jiao Lao's mother and daughter had no time to leave.

In order to save his neighbor, Jiao Lao was swallowed up by the flood and turned into a mountain, which was later called "Lao Shan". Jiao Lao's daughter and Jiao Lao informed the neighbors together. My daughter ran first, lost a pair of shoes and was finally swallowed up by the flood. Later, shoes became a mountain of shoes, and my daughter became an isolated mountain. Looking at each other from ancient times, the vast waves tell the story of heartbroken mother and daughter.

In order to commemorate them, people call Chaohu Lake Jiaohu, worship Jiaomu as a lake god, and build temples for sacrifice. Before and after Grain Rain every year, the white clouds around the surface of Chaohu Lake and the top of Gushan Mountain are filled with fog, and there seems to be a white dragon looming in the fog. It is said that Xiaobailong came to Chaohu Lake to pay tribute to Jiao Lao's mother and daughter.
