Provisions on star rating of tourist (foreign-related) hotels in People's Republic of China (PRC)

Article 1 These Provisions are formulated to meet the needs of the development of China's tourism industry, improve the management and service level of tourist (foreign-related) hotels as soon as possible, make them have China characteristics, meet international standards, and protect the interests of tour operators and consumers.

Article 2 The star rating of national tourist (foreign-related) hotels shall be implemented in accordance with the Star Rating Standard of China Tourist (foreign-related) hotels formulated by the national tourism administration department.

Article 3 People's Republic of China (PRC) tourist (foreign-related) hotels are classified according to the star standard of one-star, two-star, three-star, four-star and five-star hotels.
