The hanging beam is biting, Fan Zhongyan's "Rowing the Horseshoe Crab with Porridge (jοu)" and Lu Xun's abandonment of medicine.

1, head hanging and cone biting: During the Warring States Period, Su Qin followed Ren Wei Zhang Yishi and Mr. Guigu. He studied hard at night, and when he was sleepy, he stabbed himself in the thigh with an awl, and the blood flowed to his feet. In the Han Dynasty, Sun Jing was eager to learn. When studying, he tied his hair to the roof beam with a rope to prevent dozing off and urged himself to study hard.

2. Fan Zhongyan's J Ρ u: When Fan Zhongyan was a student, his life was very hard because of his poor family. Every night, he cooks a bowl of porridge with brown rice. When the porridge is frozen the next morning, he cuts it into four pieces with a knife, two in the morning and two in the evening. This is "cutting porridge". If there are no vegetables, cut some pickles for dinner. This is called "broken horseshoe crab". Life is so hard, but he has no complaints and concentrates on his studies. The allusion to "broken porridge" comes from this.

3. Lu Xun abandoned medicine and went to literature: Mr. Lu Xun originally studied medicine when he studied in Japan in his early years. However, during the study in Sendai Medical College, on the basis of the Russo-Japanese War between classes, the Japanese were beheaded as Russian detectives, and the dead and onlookers were numb. This made Lu Xun realize: "The first thing is to change their spirit." So Lu Xun made up his mind to give up medicine and become a great thinker, revolutionary and writer in modern China.
