Xianping Four in the Northern Song Dynasty In 1901 (1001), Chuanxia Road, located in today's Sichuan Basin, was divided into Yizhou Road, Zizhou Road, Lizhou Road and Kuizhou Road, collectively known as "Cuanxia Four Roads" or "Sichuan Road". During this period, official positions such as Sichuan Zhizhi Envoy and Sichuan Xuanfu Envoy were established, which were later shortened to "Sichuan", from which Sichuan got its name.

Sichuan Province is located in the southwest hinterland of China, between 97°21'~108°33' east longitude and 26°03'~34°19' north latitude.
