What does Longchang Yicheng mean?

Longchang, a place name, is located in the northwest mountainous area of Guiyang (now xiuwen county, Guizhou), with inconvenient transportation and difficult conditions.

Cheng Yi is the official in charge of the post office. The poverty-stricken post stations in the remote areas of the Ming Dynasty were also places where the government exiled "criminals". Some famous officials in the Ming Dynasty were sent to post stations because they offended powerful people. Therefore, Longchang Yicheng is an official assigned to Longchang Station.
