From childhood to adulthood, I lived in Tokyo where my mother worked as an administrator. After the movie was released, in the third semester of her first year of high school, in order to better pursue her acting career, she transferred to Tokyo Metropolitan Yoyogi High School (non-normal class) and was in Graduated from Yoyogi High School.
In 1976, at the age of 18, Harada showed outstanding acting skills and unique personality in "Lullaby of the Earth" (directed by Masumura Yasuzo) and "Youth Killer" (directed by Hasegawa Kazuhiko) , attracted a lot of attention, and won the Best Actress Award in the Xunbao Film Festival, as well as the Newcomer Award in various film awards such as the Blue Ribbon Award and the Baochi Film Award.
