Introduction to one-day tour of Windermere, Lake District, England

The natural ecosystem in and around Windermere in England's Lake District is well protected. As a legendary natural scenic area in the UK, it not only has pleasant scenery, but also has many ancient legends and allusions. It is a characteristic scenic spot with a gathering of humanity.

The Lake District is one of the attractions that many people visit in the UK. The natural scenery and pastoral scenery here are really unforgettable. At that time, my mother came to the UK to visit, and we only went there for one day, a day trip from Manchester City.

There are several small towns in the Lake District. We went to Windermere and Bowens Street. We bought a ticket from Manchester Piccadilly Station to Windermere, which costs around £18 per person return (the fare will fluctuate depending on the time of purchase).

Windermere

Lake Windermere is located at the southernmost end of the Lake District, with a total length of 13 kilometers. It is said to be the longest and largest lake in Britain. The town of Windermere is where we got off the train. We first went to a place called Miller Plaza to take pictures. The lake here is beautiful so we were able to take photos in front of the extended table. There were not many people when we went there, just some British natives who were out playing with their dogs. Few people knew that they could take pictures as much as they wanted.

Bowness

Take the 599 bus from the train station or walk. The round trip costs 4.40 pounds per person. The terminal is the pier in Bowness, which is about a 30-minute walk.

The World of Beatrix Potter and the World of Peter Rabbit Museum is a famous attraction in Bowens Town. Beyond that, Lake Windermere itself is worth a stop and a walk. If the weather is nice, you can walk into the town of Bowness and you can walk around the beautiful lake, where there are many swans and pigeons waiting for food dropped by passers-by. Sitting on a bench by the lake, eating ice cream and enjoying the slight cool breeze by the lake.

Of course, the core task of visiting the lake area is naturally touring the lake! Take a boat from Bowens Pier on the River Windermere, enjoy the slow breeze on the lake, and enjoy the scenery of the lake and mountains under the warm sunshine. Please refer to the following for the specific route and schedule of the tour around the lake.
