From the Majialou Bridge on the South Fourth Ring Road, take the Beijing-Kaifeng Expressway and head south, to the Southwest Sixth Ring Road, turn west to the Beijing-Shijiazhuang Expressway, and enter the G4/Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway in the direction of the Beijing-Shijiazhuang Expressway/Shijiazhuang.

Drive 222.7 kilometers along the G4/Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway (the Beijing South Toll Station passing through the junction of Beijing and Hebei at 07:50 charges 25 yuan), exit from the Beijing-Kunming Expressway/Taiyuan Exit, and enter the Shijiazhuang North Ring Expressway , continue driving for 14 kilometers, leave from the Pingshan/Taiyuan exit and enter G5.

The toll station along G5 passing through the Jingxing West at the junction of Hebei and Shanxi is 105 yuan at 11:04. Take the Dingwu Expressway/G2012 through the Mengjiawan Toll Station at 06:43 and get off the expressway for 10 yuan. There is still nearly 80km of expressway to go. Pass the Gantang toll station at the junction of Ningxia and Gansu and enter S308. S308 is a rural road. There are pedestrians and low-speed agricultural vehicles on the roadside from time to time. The Jingtai Toll Station charges 6 yuan at 07:40, Shangsha Toll Station, and Tumen Toll Station charge 8 yuan at 08:58. From Shuangta Village, pass the Shuangta ramp toll station toward Wuwei and enter Lianhuo Expressway/G30.

The road condition of Lianhuo Expressway/G30 Expressway is very good. Travel 747 kilometers to Guazhou Toll Station (charge 226 yuan at 15:42) and enter G312. The good times in Gansu are over. The G312 runs from Guazhou via Liuyuan Toll Station at 17:17 and charges 10 yuan at the Xingxingxia Toll Station at the junction of Gansu and Xinjiang at 18:51. This section of road is basically a simple paved road. The road section is an exposed roadbed of dirt and gravel, and dust is flying when vehicles pass by. Especially the section from Liuyuan to Xingxingxia. It was already dark when we passed the Xingxingxia Toll Station. We passed the Camel Circle Toll Station under the light of the car lights at 20:30 and it cost 4 yuan to enter the Lianhuo Expressway/G30.
