Changsha Normal University is a second-tier university located in Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hunan Province. Changsha Normal University was formerly Changsha Normal School founded by Xu Teli in 1912. In 2004, it was established as Hunan Children's Engineering Vocational College with the approval of the Hunan Provincial People's Government; in 2005, it was restored to "Changsha Engineering Vocational College" with the approval of the Ministry of Education "Normal School"; in April 2013, it was upgraded to a general undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education and was given its current name.
