Introduction of Ganwu Railway Line?

Ganwu Railway starts from baotou-lanzhou railway Gan Tang Station in the east and ends at Wuwei South Station of Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway in the west, spanning Ningxia, Inner Mongolia and Gansu provinces, with a total length of172km. The Jiangxi-Wuhan Railway was built in 1958- 196 1. The electrification reconstruction project of this line started on1March 199518th, and was completed and opened to traffic on 19961October10th.

It starts from Gantang Town, zhongwei City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in the east and ends in Wuwei City, Gansu Province in the west. Total length172km. * * * There are 15 stops. The line leads from Gan Tang Station of Baolan Line, enters Alashan Zuo Qi of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, goes west along the southern edge of Tengger Desert, passes Qingyangshan Station, enters Gulang County of Gansu Province, passes through Bingcao Bay, passes through Tumenzi, and reaches Wuwei South Station of Lanxin Line. There are few people along the line, mostly grass beaches and sand dunes, which are short of water and windy and dusty. This line is the connecting line between Baolan and Lanzhou Shinkansen. When the goods from the station west of Wuwei Railway Station to Inner Mongolia, North China and Northeast China pass through this line, the transportation distance can be shortened by 345 kilometers compared with Lanzhou Station.
