What is the basic pattern of Hunan tourism now?

Hunan is a province rich in tourism resources, with superior geographical conditions and huge market potential. After nearly 30 years' development, the scale of Hunan's tourism industry has been continuously expanded, its industrial strength has been continuously enhanced, its industrial status has been continuously improved, and its position as a pillar industry has taken shape. It is an inevitable choice for Hunan's economy to lead the rise of Central China, accelerate the process of industrialization and promote the sound and rapid development of Hunan's economy to take the lead in implementing the development strategy of "the rise of Central China and tourism first". It is estimated that by 2020, Hunan will basically become a strong tourist province (see Table 7-4 for details).

The level of tourism services and supporting conditions in Hunan are good, and supporting services for food, accommodation, transportation, travel, shopping and entertainment have basically taken shape. Hunan cuisine, which is characterized by sour and spicy, is very popular, especially Changsha snacks, which have won the reputation of "one of the four largest snacks in China". A large number of high-end hotels, such as Sheraton Changsha Hotel, provide comfortable accommodation for tourists. Changsha Huanghua International Airport, Zhangjiajie Lotus International Airport, Shanghai-Kunming Railway, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Hunan-Guangxi High-speed Railway and Cobweb Expressway provide convenient transportation for tourism. A-level scenic spots featuring natural landscapes and red tourism make tourists linger; Shopping malls such as Hisense Plaza in Wuyi Business Circle, Wangfujing Shopping Center on Jinxing Road in Hexi, Dayun Central Plaza next to Changsha Avenue, and Xingsha Huarun Wanxianghui let tourists rush to buy; Entertainment programs such as karaoke, bars and super girls add color to tourism.

Hunan tourism has basically formed a pattern of "featuring Huxiang culture, taking Changsha as the center, Zhangjiajie as the leader and eight boutique tourist routes as the support". The "Red Tour" jointly created by Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan, the "Southern Hunan Tourism" jointly created by Chenzhou and Yongzhou, and the "Great Xiangxi" jointly created by Zhangjiajie, Xiangxi and Huaihua have built multi-level regional tourism exchanges and cooperation, and the market influence of brand scenic spots represented by Wulingyuan in Zhangjiajie, Yuelu Mountain in Changsha, Phoenix in Xiangxi, Nanyue in Hengyang, Taohuayuan in Changde and Yueyang Yueyang Tower has been expanding. With the opportunity of participating in the Pan-Pearl River Delta and regional tourism cooperation in central China, Hunan's tourism industry has a good momentum of development.
