The design of the new CCTV building is a big taboo for suspects.

The whole CCTV includes: main building (CCTV headquarters building), TV Culture Center (TVCC), service building and media park. The total investment of the building is estimated to be as high as10 billion yuan, and construction will start in September 2004.

Since the design of the main building of CCTV, it has attracted wide attention from all walks of life. In the plan of architect Koolhaas, the two towers of the new building rise from the same platform and meet at the top, forming a three-dimensional experience, which breaks through the conventional characteristics of skyscrapers.

But in geomantic omen, it has attracted great controversy. Xu Congeucalyptus, a famous feng shui master, said that the most basic requirements of traditional culture for architectural modeling are "moderate" and "positive". "Center" means that the building, especially the main building, should be symmetrical around the central axis. "Positive" is not skewed and grotesque.

In addition to feng shui, the new CCTV building has also attracted a lot of controversy when seeking a new name. Previously, the new building was called "big shorts", "twisted", "diagonal" and "bird's leg", which made CCTV decide to collect the name of the new building among its employees.
