How to debug automation equipment

The debugging of automation equipment is generally divided into several stages, and the debugging work generally begins after the installation of field equipment is completed (that is, the equipment basically has the power-on conditions).

Equipment/system inspection: check the installed equipment or system, which is mainly used to check whether the equipment installation is correct and stable, and whether the wiring is firm. At the same time, check whether there is any error in the wiring of the equipment, especially whether there is any short connection or missing connection. All inspections should be carried out according to the electrical schematic diagram to prevent leakage. At the same time, pay special attention to check whether the grounding of the system is correct;

Single point test: also known as dot. That is, after shielding the internal program of PLC, power on the equipment, and then ensure that all I/O points (including all digital and analog points) are normal by forcibly setting/resetting the input/output of the test system;

Function test: gradually unveil the PLC program, test the functions of the system item by item, and verify whether the logic of each automatic program function block is correct by simulating the operating environment and conditions on site. For example, test the start, stop and emergency stop conditions of the starting motor;

Simulation debugging: debugging the automation system without real load (for example, the pickling tank of steel pickling line is replaced with water instead of acid). Focus on the automatic linkage, manual function operation, alarm and emergency stop functions of the test system;

Light load debugging: low load debugging of the production line controlled by the automation system to verify the working ability of the system under real conditions;

Full-load debugging and acceptance: make the system work under the designed full load to test the production capacity of the system. At the same time, the system will be checked and accepted, and the owner's staff will be trained.
