The special affairs office of provincial and municipal epidemic prevention headquarters took decisive measures, requisitioned the new campus of the Party School of the Provincial Party Committee and some student dormitories of four universities in Wuhan, transformed them into designated medical points, and used the newly added 5,400 beds to treat patients with mild diseases.

The four municipal universities are Wuhan Business School, Jianghan University, Wuhan Institute of Shipbuilding Technology and wuhan vocational college of software and engineering. So which student dormitories in these four schools will be requisitioned?

First, Wuhan Business School.

Wuhan University of Commerce temporarily requisitioned four student dormitories in the north campus of the school, Guan 5, Guan 6, Guan 7 and Guan 8, as isolation medical points.

Second, Jianghan University

Jianghan University requisitioned the dormitory in the South District as a temporary isolation medical point.

Third, wuhan vocational college of software and engineering

Wuhan vocational college of software and engineering temporarily requisitioned 12, 13, 14, 15 student dormitories.

Fourth, Wuhan Institute of Shipbuilding Technology.

The announcement of Wuhan Shipbuilding Vocational and Technical College is for all students, and it does not mention which students' dormitories are specifically requisitioned as temporary medical points. It is estimated that most students in this school are boys and have the tradition of military school. They may not care about such trivial things as the national disaster and the expropriation of dormitory.

Worry about the problem

At present, judging from the reaction of the college students who have been requisitioned from these four dormitories, the vast majority of students expressed their understanding and support, and praised the spirit of the college. There are also a few students who are worried about the storage and custody of their private property.

In response to students' concerns about personal belongings, the school said that these dormitories were cleaned by teachers, and students' personal belongings were properly kept and valuables were registered. After receiving the notice, more than 200 health teachers and staff in Korea rushed to the school to make preparations for arranging the dormitory. Each person with fever isolation has a dormitory and only one bunk. Bedding and all daily necessities are provided by the school. The dormitory will be strictly managed by professionals, and professional cleaning and disinfection will be carried out after use to ensure safety.

Why not requisition the hotel?

It might be better if we can subsidize all hotels and then introduce equipment. The hotel has no business at present. As long as the state subsidizes the hotel rental fee, it is estimated that tens of thousands of beds will be vacated immediately. We should take extraordinary measures at an extraordinary moment. If there are not enough beds, we must find ways to supply equipment as quickly as possible, so that people will be stable. Otherwise, so many people have no beds and can't be diagnosed. Running around will cause infection. At present, the infection is very large.

The hotel has air conditioning, so there is no guarantee that the aerosol in COVID-19 will not spread to the whole building through the air conditioning system.

Schools are public, hotels are mostly private, and expropriation involves many aspects.
