The 24th day of the twelfth lunar month is the Off Year. On this day, each family prepares some food and wine, and the whole family gathers happily. Before the Lunar New Year, there are two main activities: one is "sweeping the dust", sweeping away all filth and dirt, and welcoming the Spring Festival cleanly; the other is "sending stoves". On New Year's Eve, families put tea, rice, red dates and sugar cakes on plates to offer sacrifices to the Kitchen God, also known as "pasting orders", praying to the Kitchen God to "perform good deeds in heaven and bring good luck to the earth."

The 30th day of the twelfth lunar month (the twenty-ninth day of the small month) is "New Year's Eve", also called "New Year's Eve". In the morning, adults take their children and grandchildren to their ancestors' graves, kill chickens and burn paper money to worship their ancestors. Red Spring Festival couplets and New Year pictures are posted outside the hall door, and red paper with the words "Six Livestock are Prosperous" and "Golden Rooster Announces Good News" is also posted on pig pens, cattle pens, and chicken coops to express the good wishes in the heart. In the early morning of the first day of the first lunar month, the first thing that happens is that the male host opens the "wealth gate". The door is opened and firecrackers are set off to welcome the influx of wealth. Then take a few steps in the direction of the sunrise, chanting "good luck in traveling and profit from all directions", praying for success in business and wealth in the year.
