Recommendation of two-day tour in Suzhou Christmas Zhouzhuang

Christmas is coming, which means the Spring Festival in China is coming. To say that Christmas is suitable for Suzhou, Zhouzhuang is a very good choice. In particular, I went there for a few days. The following small series will recommend it. Please see below for details.

1. First of all: alive.

2. Eat: Zhouzhuang on the tip of the tongue

As a traveler, after finding a good place to live in any strange place, eating naturally comes first, and food is the first thing for the people!

At the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty, Shen Wansan became the richest man in Jiangnan. He specially hired famous chefs to cook all kinds of delicacies, which was called "Three Thousand Family Banquets". The banquet is fashionable and exquisite, with exquisite materials, good color, fragrance and shape. The specialties are: 3,000 horseshoes, Sanwei Tangyuan, steamed mandarin fish, steamed eel tube, water shield bass soup, river snail with ginger sauce, meat stuffing oil, and venetian blinds wrapped in meat. In Zhouzhuang, there are many rare aquatic products, the most famous of which is the "Three Treasures of Xianjiang River": perch, white clam and whitebait. Zhou also produces eel, which is a well-known rural proverb. In addition, there are turtles and shrimps.

To taste the "Three Thousand Family Banquets", you can go to Shenting Restaurant, next to Fuan Bridge and Shenting. It still retains the Ming and Qing styles, elegant and chic, and lives near the river. This is a restaurant with a local style. Zhou's food doesn't stop there. Pickled amaranth and fried whitebait with eggs are the specialties of Jiangnan and are also very popular with tourists.

3, drink: water town wine, grandma tea

The tea culture in Zhouzhuang, a thousand-year-old town, also has a long history. In Zhouzhuang, Fiona Fang, the custom of drinking tea stretches for several kilometers, among which ""is the most famous. People in Zhouzhuang have a long history of drinking "granny tea". The blue-and-white porcelain-covered tea bowls, exquisite small saucers, simple and elegant teapots and brightly colored tea trays now collected in the deep house compound are enough to prove the long history of "granny tea". Speaking of rice wine, when I was a child, my mother always brewed some rice wine every year, but our favorite sweet wine was not good. Jiangnan, a small bridge flowing with water, just passed on the local customs by means of wine making, which seems to bring back sweet memories of childhood.

A cup of mellow rice wine, a mouthful of granny tea, sitting under the long curtain of weeping willows, a classical corridor, and a few low tables in a blue courtyard; Drinking tea and listening to Kunqu opera, I feel the long-standing cultural heritage of Zhouzhuang and the clank of guzheng, spreading the cultural meaning of thousands of years. Or holding a cup of coffee, enjoying the small bridge flowing outside the window and feeling the long-lost peace among lonely people.

4. Game: Strange architecture

Speaking of that strange building, I thought it was just a game to scare children, but on the way to the hotel, I didn't care. Later, I was attracted by the names of two "strange buildings" in front of this door. When I came in, I realized that the small corner of arc Catherine's cabin downstairs was decorated with various backgrounds by optical illusions, or the tables and chairs under the eaves were deliberately inverted, or an ancient erotic palace was inadvertently built, or elegant stairs were decorated as soon as I turned around, or the horrible sound of multi-channel headphones was interpreted on the dark wooden floor. There is still history. It was built by a returnee in Zhouzhuang in the early years of the Republic of China. This person probably likes whimsy since he was a child. It is located between Shanghai, Suzhou and Shizhou, 30 km from Kunshan, 38 km from Suzhou, 60 km from Shanghai and 0/60 km from Shizhou/KLOC. Zhouzhuang can be reached quickly along Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway and Sujiahang Expressway. It is about 1 hour from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, about 90 minutes from Shanghai Pudong International Airport and about 100 minutes from Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport.
