Jinan New Year Countdown Place

The New Year's countdown to Jinan was held in quancheng square.

Quancheng square is the central square of Jinan, the provincial capital, which is located in the embrace of mountains, springs, rivers and cities. Looking around, the north is the new look of the old city, the west is the gushing Baotu Spring, the south is the verdant Qianfo Mountain, and the east is the picturesque Jiefang Pavilion, which is a resort for citizens to have a rest. Every new year's eve will count down here.

Quancheng square is the first and only square in China that was awarded the title of "International Art Square" by UNESCO. The design takes the sideline running through Baotu Spring and Jiefang Pavilion as the main axis, and the continuation of Bangpeng Street and Shuowen Road as the auxiliary axis to form a framework. Each functional area develops from west to east around the axis.

Evaluate honor:

Quancheng square fully embodies the Qilu culture of "paying attention to openness and advocating stability" and the characteristics of "mass, culture and entertainment", and combines the urban style and cultural landscape to create a rich spring city feature, continue the Qilu cultural origin and show the elegant demeanor of a state of etiquette. In August 2002, quancheng square was officially awarded the title of "United Nations International Art Square" by UNESCO, and quancheng square became the first city square in China to receive this honor.

In the east of quancheng square, there is a Lotus Music Fountain, which is one of the main sights of the square. In the circular pool, there is a huge metal lotus in full bloom, and water is ejected from the pool and lotus, forming countless fountains of different sizes. There is a musical fountain performance at a fixed time every day, with the highest reaching tens of meters, which is very spectacular. It is a must-see spot for foreign tourists to come to Jinan.
