Longsheng, a small town beautiful at night

Longsheng is a small county in Guangxi, not big, but very beautiful. Every time night falls, the entire county is a colorful world. The more beautiful place is not here, Longsheng's Longji Rice Terraces is its soul.

People say that Dongjiang Lake in Chenzhou, Hunan Province is very beautiful in May. If you encounter the foggy Dongjiang River, it will definitely make people linger. When we drove more than 500 kilometers to arrive, we did not encounter the wonders of the foggy Dongjiang River. When we were disappointed, we had to go straight to Longsheng, Guangxi, which once again reflected the randomness and willfulness of self-driving travel.

It was already past 5 pm when we arrived in Longsheng. We will stay in the county town tonight. The hotels in the county town are good, so we chose a hotel in the middle of the mountain to stay. Someone originally suggested staying in a scenic spot. Since I had no plans to see the rice terraces during this trip, and I was not familiar with the environment. It was almost dark, so I felt safe staying in the county town.

We had dinner at a restaurant owned by Cantonese people. The food was very appetizing. I had a bottle of wine to comfort myself. Anyway, I won’t be driving tonight.

After dinner, I walked back to the hotel. What I didn’t expect was that this small county town was not so eye-catching during the day. The street environment was not much different from an ordinary small town. At night, the scenery changes. There is a colorful world everywhere, and it feels like the sky is full of lights and flowers.

I was already a little tired and slightly drunk, but when I saw the beautiful scenery, my fatigue suddenly disappeared. Both sides of the river were decorated with colorful lights, and the two bridges were even more eye-catching. The oval bridge holes turned into a large colorful olive circle. Like a bright moon and a colorful ball, the breeze blows and ripples appear on the river. The river surface has an artistic conception of half river and half river red. The distinctive tower on the riverside is the highlight of the entire county's scenery. The four facades have different shapes. No matter which angle you look at, it is an evocative scenery. The tower is right on the river bank opposite the bridge, and tourists are rushing to take pictures. There are also the two giant dragons on the roof, which seem to be flying in the clouds and mist in mid-air. Under the dubbing music of square dancing, they also seem to be participating in a large-scale open-air concert. The whole county has a lively atmosphere.

When the lanterns are on, the entire county is a world of color. This place is uniquely endowed with the famous Longji Rice Terraces scenic spot not far from here. For many tour groups, tourists will choose to stay here overnight and then go to the terraced fields more than ten kilometers away the next day. Because they are not familiar with the environment in the scenic area and are worried about not being able to book a room, it is convenient and safe to stay in a small town.

I came to Longsheng in the afternoon and didn’t have much time to walk around the city. The seemingly ordinary small town didn’t attract my interest during the day. My destination was to see the rice terraces. At night, in the colorful world, I discovered that this place is only beautiful at night. I stood on the bridge and saw another bridge not far away. Under the reflection of the lights, it became a little more charming. The bridge at night has always been the most eye-catching place.

I didn’t know the name of this tower. It looks very distinctive. Its shape looks like a castle and a crown. Among the few high-rise buildings, it is particularly special. Get noticed.

Longsheng cannot live without dragons. I think that if this place name is associated with dragons, it should have its story. Unfortunately, I will go to Longji to see the rice terraces tomorrow morning, so I will not tell the locals. Ask for more stories. All I saw was that the dragon on the roof was lifelike and particularly conspicuous in the night sky.

The small town is built next to the river. The two sides of the river are decorated with lights, and the buildings are reflected in the water, which makes this small town more exciting. A tourist city should fascinate people and make people stay. . Looking at this river during the day, I wonder what it will look like?

Longsheng is also an ancient city with a long history. It was called Sangjiang in ancient times and was under the jurisdiction of Guilin County during the time of Qin Shihuang. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was still called Longsheng County and belonged to Guilin Prefecture. In December 1956, it was renamed "Longsheng Autonomous County of All Nationalities" and was the first ethnic autonomous county established in Central and South China. I don't have time to understand its history. All I see now are modern buildings. It’s not too early, we have to go see the rice terraces tomorrow.
