Ou Man Film Hotel

350 bird's nests cover the hotel rooms designed by bjarke ingels Group /BIG for the Tree House Hotel in northern Sweden. This 34-square-meter tree house named "Biosphere" will be the eighth experimental room of treehotel. This holiday resort for birds and nature lovers is currently under construction and will be open to tourists in May 2022.

The room designed by BIG is located at high altitude as a bird habitat, aiming at reducing the decline of Swedish bird population and strengthening the natural biosphere. BIG and Treehotel and Swedish ornithologist Uf? Rahman worked closely together on this project.

Ou Man, chairman of Norrbo Tengornithology Association, explained: "The survey conducted by our ornithologist and county management committee in Tengxian county, Norrbo shows that some bird populations are decreasing. With the development of forestry, the number of natural holes in trees has decreased, and these holes are the nests for birds to breed. Therefore, installing a bird's nest is an important measure. "

? Rahman continued: "In addition, climate change leads to the early breeding period of insects in a year, and when the eggs hatch, the breeding period has passed. Feeding is an important support mechanism for birds who need food in winter in northern Sweden. It is very valuable to show the use of bird's nest and feeding, not only in the tree hotel, but also people can install it near their homes. The measures taken by Tree Hotel may encourage their tourists to do the same. "

Guests enter the "biosphere" through the suspension bridge. Once inside, they will find simple and practical interior decoration, featuring dark colors and organic materials, inspired by the surrounding landscape. The highlight of the hotel accommodation is a roof terrace, close to the canopy, providing a 360-degree forest view. This project is designed for two people, including a double bed, a living space, a shower and burning toilet, and a sauna.
