Shuangfengshan Village

Shuangfengshan Village is located 4.5 kilometers northwest of Zhushan Subdistrict Office, Jiaonan City, on the southern slope of Shuangfeng Mountain and is located in hills. The "Tongsan" Expressway passes through the west of the village and is only 2 kilometers away from the Jiaonan City exit. The transportation is very convenient. The village covers an area of ??2.5 kilometers from east to west and 1 kilometer from north to south, with an area of ??2.5 square kilometers, including 345 acres of cultivated land. The village's residents are mainly surnamed Jiang, with 76 households and a population of 221.

According to records, in the late Ming Dynasty, the surname Jiang moved here from Shuangyintangzi, Jiaozhou City, to establish the village. It was named because it was located on the southern slope of Shuangfeng Mountain. According to the Republic of China edition of "Additional Jiao Zhi Territory", it was called Shuangfeng Mountain during the Xuantong period of the Qing Dynasty, and Shuangfeng Village during the Republic of China. There was originally a Taoist temple on the southern slope of Shuangfeng Mountain. Most of the real estate was owned by the temple. The Jiang family rented the land for farming, but it was later destroyed during the "Cultural Revolution". Shuangfengshan has historically had temple fairs, which were unprecedentedly grand. They were held on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month every year, and were called Shuangfengshan Temple Fairs. They attracted merchants from eighteen counties in three provinces (Shandong, Henan, and Hebei) to come here to do business. Most of the temple fairs focus on the trading of agricultural and sideline products, and there are also folk artists such as acrobatics, folk arts, and Mao Opera performing on the stage. They are large in scale and famous far and wide. To hold a fair here, you must rent a farmer's home half a month in advance.

The village was historically dominated by agriculture. In the old society, the land was barren, productivity was backward, and production methods were primitive. After liberation, the village's agriculture and animal husbandry gradually developed. After the reform and opening up, with the support of relevant superior units, the village built a breeding community with 30,000 chickens and 60 dairy cows, and every household engaged in breeding. In 2004, the village collective income was 34,000 yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 4,197 yuan.
