JJ Hotel and Beach in Panadura, Sri Lanka

? It takes 4 or 5 hours to drive from Kandy to the southern seaside. Only one section is on the highway. Because it is a mountainous area, the driving speed is a bit slow. We slept in a daze along the way, and it was already past four o'clock when we arrived at the coastal city of Panadura. After checking in, putting away our luggage, we all rushed towards the sea.

? The hotel we stayed in is called Jiejie Hotel. It is the first five-star hotel in China in Sri Lanka. It was invested and constructed by Li Jianguo, chairman of Sri Lanka Jiezhongjie Development and Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., with a total investment of approximately US$20 million. , construction officially started in August 2015 and took 18 months to complete. The construction speed is unprecedented in Sri Lanka. The trial operation started on January 16, 2017, with Sri Lankan hotel group Jetwing responsible for operations and marketing. JJ Seaside Hotel is located about 20 kilometers south of Colombo. It provides a variety of Chinese and Western meals with a wide variety of options. There are Chinese fried noodles, omelettes, pancakes, etc. The chicken and fish are also delicious. It is the best hotel we have eaten in Sri Lanka. The hotel is very clean, facing the beach. If you open the sliding door of the balcony, you can see the beach and sea from the balcony. Those who live on the first floor can see the beach from the balcony. We stayed in this hotel for two nights.

? Sri Lanka is called a teardrop in the Indian Ocean and a gem of the Indian Ocean. It has good ecological protection, beautiful scenery, clear sea water, and yellow sand. It is called a golden beach. When walking on the beach, be sure to take off your shoes and step on the soft sand with bare feet to feel the softness of the sand. One morning, I came out of the hotel and went for a walk on the beach. I stood on the beach and looked into the distance. The vast sea stretched as far as the eye could see. The light blue sky connected with the dark blue water. The sea and sky were connected together. I couldn’t tell where. The sea, where is the sky. The waves hit the coast, rolling white spray forward, one after another, one wave higher than the other, white foam rushed to the beach, the waves faded from the toes, and the fine sand under the feet was loosened and carried away by the sea water. On the beach, after the sea water recedes, there are fine grains of sand left behind. Stepping on them feels like a foot massage and feels very comfortable. Green coconut trees grew vigorously on the shore. I quietly listened to the sound of waves lapping at the shore, and occasionally a few birds chirped, and I felt this wonderful movement of nature with my heart. Behind them, local Sri Lankans were pulling fishing nets, and some tourists joined them out of curiosity. As I drifted away, the sound of fishermen pulling their nets was gradually drowned out by the waves. At that moment, I felt like I was blending into the space between the sky and the sea, and it seemed like I was the only one left around. Looking into the depths of the sea, white waves are surging, rolling, and boiling from a distance to the shore. On this beach where no one is disturbing me, I really want to just walk there and keep walking. I was with the waves, without any other noisy sounds. I continued to walk forward, not knowing where I was going. There was no one in the distance, and the fishermen pulling the nets behind me were getting further and further away from me. I like this kind of tranquility so much, letting myself go, letting my imagination run wild, and thinking about anything. Suddenly I saw a seabird walking alone on the beach. I wanted to say, bird, are you the same as me?

?

? I walked around and came back. The local fishermen were still pulling out the fishing nets. The tourists had already moved away. I thought that the fishing nets would be pulled out soon, but I stood still. When I looked into the sea from the shore, I saw that the fishing net was very deep into the sea. I didn't know if there was any harvest in this fishing net, so I didn't wait any longer and went back to the hotel.
