What's the difference between Korean tableware and China tableware? Why is it so similar to China?

As one of China's neighbors, South Korea has its own food culture, although its history is far less than that of China. Their food culture is very similar to that of China, but there are also subtle differences. This is because many Korean tableware was handed down from China.

Koreans and China people eat with chopsticks, which are obviously different from western knives, forks and plates, but Korean chopsticks are different from those of China people. First of all, China usually uses wooden chopsticks, which are light and easy to use, but Koreans usually use metal chopsticks, which are relatively heavy. This is because the Korean government thinks that disposable chopsticks pollute the environment and destroy the ecological environment, so they usually use metal chopsticks for dinner.

In addition, there are fewer Korean tableware. Besides a main course, there are many dishes filled with side dishes. Such a side dish is considered as an accessory, but it is considered as a dinner in Korea. This is also related to the history of Korea. Korea was very poor in ancient times and didn't develop until modern times. So they said they couldn't eat any big fish and meat at first, but they wanted to make the whole table look rich, so they would put some side dishes on the table for them to eat.

The reason why the tableware of the two countries is similar is that after the demise of Shang Dynasty, some Shang immigrants came to South Korea and introduced China culture to South Korea. Chopsticks were introduced to the Korean peninsula around the 6th century. Later, the Korean Peninsula was closely related to ancient China. As a small country in East Asia, it's natural to learn and use China's tableware and make some modifications. After thousands of years of study and transformation, unique but similar tableware has naturally formed.
