Special species of Komodo Island

Tarsier, prosimia, tarsier, distributed in southern Sumatra and some islands in the Philippines and Indonesia. It is as long as a mouse, the largest is only more than 20 centimeters, and its weight is about 100- 150 grams. The head is big and round, the eyes are extra large, the face is forward, and the orbital septum is thin. The eyes are suitable for night vision, and the retina has no cone. The neck is short, which is the characteristic of many jump groups. There are disc-shaped toe pads at the ends of fingers and toes, and all fingers and toes have flat nails except the second and third toes with claws. The hind limb is long, the embryonic bone is combined with the flying bone, and the bone is attached to it, so it is called a monkey. The tail is slender and hairy.

Glasses monkeys are arboreal animals in dense forests in tropical and subtropical regions. They are nocturnal, mainly feeding on insects, grasping with their hands and eating fruits. Strong adaptability to tree jumping, can accurately jump more than 3 meters between trees, can walk on all fours, jump or run on the ground with hind legs, climb trees and slide down from the trunk, and the disc-shaped finger pad has the function of a sucker, which is beneficial to climbing. They live alone among monkeys, sometimes in pairs.
