Where is Ningbo Yuehu Park?
Introduction of scenic spots
Yuehu Lake is a crescent lake in the center of Ningbo. It used to be the urban landscape where scholars sat and talked during the Song and Ming Dynasties, and now it is the most important green lung in Ningbo. Although it is not as famous as Hangzhou West Lake, its status in Ningbo is just like Hangzhou West Lake. The lake is dotted with quadrangles and old houses, and walking on weekends is very leisurely.
There are islands such as Fangcaozhou, Liuting, Song Dao and Zhou Juhua in Yuehu Lake, some of which are connected by bridges, while others are completely connected by land. The winding banks of the lake, the old people playing chess under the weeping willows, and the ancient buildings hidden in the trees are in sharp contrast with the busy streets around them. Liuting Street crosses the lake, just dividing Yuehu into two areas, north and south, dotted with many relics and old houses. Many of these old houses are used as office space, which can't be visited, and some have been transformed into exhibition halls, which can be visited. There is no fence around Moon Lake. This is a completely open park. As long as there is a road, you can enter. Suitable for wandering around at will, no need to set a schedule.
The scenic spots are concentrated in the north and east of the lake. Looking from the northeast corner, you will see a small pavilion in the water with the word "Ping" on it, which is a relic used to measure the water level in the Song Dynasty. Not far away, the most famous is the former site of the Korean Embassy. Now, the exhibition hall of the exchange history between Mingzhou and North Korea has been built on the site, which contains a small number of cultural relics, and the graphic materials are also quite learned; Next to Dafang Yuedi, there is a free art exhibition for the public, which is the most concentrated place for Yuehu exhibition. The land house by the lake is the former residence of Lu Hongchang and Lu, who made great contributions to the recovery of Ningbo during the Revolution of 1911. This mansion was quite influential in the late Qing Dynasty, and now we can only look at it.
Yintaidi, near Yingfeng Street, is an old house that is rarely preserved intact and can be visited by tourists for free. Every room in it is beautifully decorated, and the ancient furniture and daily necessities are very complete, so you can feel the pattern of ancient giants and families.
Liuting Street in the center of Yuehu Lake is the center of Yuehu Lake, and now it has become the main traffic road in the urban area. He Mi, a quiet and simple temple on the street, was built to commemorate why it was built. Now it is the office of a certain unit. The Guandi Temple and Buddhist Jushilin, where incense is flourishing, are newly rebuilt buildings from the Ming Dynasty and become "Liuting Sanlian".
There is an academician forest at the northern end of the Southern District, mostly ginkgo, and there is an antique school on the southernmost Song Dao, the old campus of Ningbo No.2 Middle School. The "Lin Zhai" in Zijin Lane on the south bank of Yuehu Lake is a rare folk house in Ningbo in the Qing Dynasty. There are more than 100 brick carvings in it, which is very magnificent. Now it's a private club with a painting and calligraphy exhibition.
Besides walking around, boating on the Moon Lake is also a very pleasant thing. All heads in the south and north can buy tickets. In addition, the Tianyige Museum near Yuehu Lake can also be visited.
