“I have lived here for 15 years since I came to Zhejiang in 2006. Now, three generations of our family have lived in Jiashan, Zhejiang, and Zhejiang is our home." Recently, Li Guofei, a special committee member of the Taiwan Business and Enterprises Committee of the Zhejiang Association for the Promotion of Maritime Cooperation and General Manager of Zhejiang World Expo Hotel Co., Ltd., told China News Service. In Li Guofei’s memory, her childhood summer vacations were spent in mainland China. Li Guofei said that in the past, her father was engaged in manufacturing in Guangzhou, and the factory was located at the intersection of important cities in the Pearl River Delta. Every year you come to the mainland, you will feel the huge changes.

In 2005, the Jiashan County People’s Government invited her father to invest. Li Guofei said, "From the perspective of my father who is engaged in manufacturing, Jiashan, located at the intersection of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, has an excellent geographical location, convenient transportation, and relatively cheap land prices. At the same time, the local government's advanced management concepts Let her father quickly decide to build a hotel in the core of Jiashan County." A year later, in 2006, Li Guofei graduated from graduate school and came to Jiashan after spending half a year in Hangzhou. According to her description, she was not used to life in Jiashan at first. "At that time, I liked to go to Shanghai after work. When I was in my 20s, I always liked fun and exciting things."

Later, Li Guofei felt the speed and warmth of Zhejiang while starting a business, and her life also changed accordingly. .

Li Guofei said that at that time, she and her team, whose average age was less than 30 years old, built a five-star hotel in 10 months. Zhejiang’s entrepreneurial atmosphere drives the pulse of urban development. In addition, Zhejiang's concern for young Taiwanese businessmen in investment, entrepreneurship, exchanges, and life also made her feel more at ease.

After settling down, Li Guofei often participated in exchange activities organized by the Zhejiang Cross-Strait Economic and Cultural Development Promotion Association, Zhejiang Youth Federation and other platforms, and also made new friends here.

At this time, Zhejiang vigorously developed rural tourism and ushered in a good opportunity for the development of homestays. Li Guofei believed that Taiwan’s B&Bs developed earlier than those on the mainland, so she opened up a new business. From Jiushe in Xitang, Jiaxing, to Mushroom House in Tonglu, Hangzhou, Li Guofei worked with her lover and friends to create the B&B brand "Retention".

"It seems to be fate." Li Guofei often shared the story of the B&B with her friends. She said that the two B&Bs were like her children. Her son was born the year Jiushe opened, and Mushroom House My daughter was born the year it opened, and now she has grown up together with two children and two B&Bs.

At the same time, Li Guofei's brother Li Yixue and his father Li Maochun also came to Lishui, Zhejiang, and built urban complexes and residential projects, becoming one of the few Taiwanese businessmen to start a business in Lishui. At present, Li Yixue has served as a standing member of the Taiwan Business and Enterprise Special Committee of the Zhejiang Maritime Promotion Association and the chairman of Zhejiang Jiangtai Hotel Management Co., Ltd.

Li Guofei said that in the 15 years from starting a business to taking root, she and her career have grown together, and her family members have come to Jiashan to reunite one after another, witnessing the changes in the Yangtze River Delta together. (End)
