Buddhist precepts at home

"Nirvana of Nagata" said: "From abstinence to determination, from determination to wisdom, from wisdom to liberation."

1. Why do you keep the precepts?

1. Why can't you live in the outside world without basic precepts? In the inner world, it is not enough to make the heart clean and soft. In this way, as a person who pursues truth and relieves troubles, keeping precepts has become the first priority.

"Nirvana of Nagata" said: "From abstinence to determination, from determination to wisdom, from wisdom to liberation."

"The Theory of Purity" said: "From abstinence to purity, the mind is pure, from purity to purity, and even suspicion of purity. If you are not wise, you will be clean, and if you are wise, you will be free. "

Because the heart polluted by troubles determines that there will be no chance to achieve meditation and epiphany.

"Yoga Department" said: "Those who hold dog precepts will not become dogs or go to hell. That is to say, the Buddha reprimanded Jaken who wanted to get rid of an outsider's dog practice."

2. Answers to the precepts It has been suggested that moral norms and other social historical views deny the absoluteness and eternity of morality, which is actually considered possible in Buddhism, because the Buddha and saints believe that morality and so on are relative and established. Therefore, some people deny keeping precepts and think that keeping precepts has no effect. This is reprimanded by the Buddha and his disciples, because the precepts are relative, but not useless. Buddhism believes that only when man and nature are kind, interesting and affectionate can we be free in this life. If a person denies the role of commandments and does words and deeds corresponding to the four evils, his heart will also become the heart of all beings with four evils, and he will lose the possibility of liberation; And because of his (her) mind, he (she) is inclined to four evil interests, such as beasts and ghosts, to receive the tragic results he (she) has created.

Buddhist precepts are moral norms corresponding to the identity between man and nature. Its direct result is to ensure that we can live peacefully and happily in human nature, and the most satisfactory result is to help us get rid of it in this life. For the above reasons, we should keep the precepts seriously. Keeping precepts is the foundation of Buddhist practice.

2. How to keep the precepts

Specific precepts are inseparable from words and deeds in daily life, so how to do it?

The core is a mental method, that is, knowing mindfulness in one's daily words and deeds. In the yoga department, the Buddha said to the venerable Ananda, "Mindfulness leads to six precepts, and six precepts lead to precepts." Therefore, when we act or speak, we should have a clear mind, so that the mind will become the protector of our words and deeds, and naturally give birth to the four virtues of "honesty, selflessness, patience and self-control" mentioned by the Buddha in the Tiny Sutra.

"Small cloth. Fa sentence. "Double Employment" says: "All laws and quotations mean man-made. If they are polluted, or if they are words or industries, they will suffer from each other, such as wheels following the feet of animals ... If people are pure, or words or industries, they will be happy with each other. " Once sober-minded, this person will standardize the precepts corresponding to his humanitarian status, and moral life will become a part of life, which is the correct principle of keeping precepts.

Among the Buddhist scriptures asked by King Milanduo outside Tibet is the "Mindfulness" chanting by Arhat Long Jun. Mindfulness is like a guardian in front of the palace-keeping evil out of the palace and guiding good into it. Similarly, if we are mindful of their body and mind, we will naturally understand what is inconsistent with the identity between man and nature and refuse it, and what is consistent should be implemented; So the commandments will be carefully and seriously observed. Complete mindfulness practice brings discipline, which establishes a solid foundation for inner perfection.

Master A Jiang Mann said: Keep your mind to obey a commandment, so that your words and deeds will be cautious and lead to your inner purity and concentration; In the past, the Buddha also warned his son Luo Zun.

3. How to purify the precepts?

To purify the precepts, we must repent and start over. So what kind of words and deeds need to be purified? After those words and deeds that violate the precepts really happen to practitioners to varying degrees-they are purified.

In short, we should purify the bad behavior that pollutes the mind. If the offender makes words and deeds that are unfavorable to others, he must first make up for the harm caused to others, and then he can be purified; If it is only your own, it can be purified directly.

The specific purification should be squatting or kneeling in front of the Buddha statue, or staying with the sangha, remembering the bad things you have done and said, and vowing not to do it again and again; After that, I read the merits and demerits of Buddhism, Dharma and Monks, which made me feel ashamed, and I will always feel ashamed in the future. This is not only a way of purification. The significance of purification lies in purifying one's own heart. Only by purifying one's own heart can one purify one's words and deeds and survive the eighth (lifestyle). The purification of this person should be done honestly, and the purification of a truly guaranteed walker will be accepted by himself, otherwise it will only be superficial. Therefore, practitioners should strive to maintain mindfulness, make unremitting efforts, care about their words and deeds, always be ashamed and always be cautious, so that they can practice day by day and gain peace of mind and joy, which is in line with the precepts of the Buddha.

4. What is abstinence?

The Theory of Pure Tao says that the mind (will), mind (achievement), statutes and statutes of practitioners do not violate the seven evil karma, such as killing, stealing, non-Sanskrit, lying, bad mouth, two tongues and strange language, or perform the obligation of being a teacher and treating others.

What is the pronunciation and semantics of the verb (verb's abbreviation) commandment?

The pronunciation of "s ο la" means abstinence. Why abstinence? In other words, uphold and maintain all the meanings of good laws.

What are the characteristics, functions, present situation and direct causes of intransitive verb commandments?

1. The characteristic of precept is precept, that is, the preceptor must obey all good laws.

2. The role of discipline is to eliminate all bad words and deeds, thus achieving all good laws.

3. The present situation of abstinence is purity, that is, the body, language and lifestyle of abstainers must be pure. If a person's behavior is not clean, then his so-called precepts must be false, so it is easy to stay away as a practitioner. This is known from one's observation.

The direct cause of abstinence is shame. "Shame" is the shame of self-knowledge, and "shame" is the fear that one's own evil deeds will bring others, which is also the reason why man and nature can exist. Therefore, people who are always ashamed must have precepts, and those who break them will repent in time, which is a virtue that practitioners must possess. The Buddha also made such a revelation. Go to the yoga department.

Seven. Types of commandments

The precepts are divided into monk precepts and family precepts. No matter whether you are a monk or not, the ordained person must follow the three teachers and seven certificates and be close to the teacher for five years. Here, the family precepts are divided into six categories: six precepts, five fundamental precepts, five Sanskrit precepts, eight Sanskrit precepts, ten Sanskrit precepts, and methods to learn.

What is six non-stop abstinence?

It is said that those who commit this crime, if they do not repent, will fall into nasal hell; Even if you repent, you can't expect to get what you deserve in your life, so you can't save yourself or others.

1 disgusting killing father.

Nausea kills mother.

3 the disgusting person who killed the certificate of sacred fruit.

4 Disgusting, splitting, uniting with monks (such as giving false theories, fallacies, fallacies, insulting elders,

Sitting on the throne led to the split of the monk group; Or in name, profit, etc. Induce the monks to disagree and even split. ).

5. Follow outsiders and attack Buddhism at will; Or steal the monk's false heresy; or

Pseudo-compiling Buddhist scriptures and theories by non-Taoist methods; Or steal Pinaye and pass it on to other schools and so on.

In the past, when the Buddha was alive, he would spit out his blood. The four bodies of the Buddha have been destroyed, so there is no such thing.

The ring. But we can make up for it, that is, ignorance, disgusting slander of Buddha, Vishnu Buddha, arhat, and even the first stream, which are unwise, immoral, incomplete, bad, unfinished and so on.

However, after purification, it is possible to get rid of this life.

What are the fundamental five precepts?

This is what Buddhist laity abides by:

1 Kill the living.

Repetition is killing. As for killing creatures (such as cattle and sheep, chickens and ducks), we should also try to avoid it. Accidents are manslaughter or animals.

Killing in self-defense, no offense.

Among them, the special ones are: those who instigate others to kill and use curses are recidivists; Persuade people to die, or take Jaken as a person and say that burning fingers and pricking blood for the Buddha are recidivists; Suicide is a repeat offender.

2 theft gang

Take things that don't belong to you, use force, take things by surprise, sneak around, etc. The accident was taken by mistake and should be returned to the original owner after discovery; It is impossible to give it to people who have nothing to do with themselves;

If it is discovered, it is a crime to take it for yourself. It is not a crime to borrow something from others beyond the agreed time limit. For example, things of very friendly relatives and friends,

Don't take it personally. No matter what the other party's reason is, we all acquiesced and didn't feel constrained. 3 Prostitution groups

This mainly refers to extramarital sexual relations and extramarital affairs. Sexual behavior other than husband and wife, sexual behavior of forcing and cheating others, etc. It's all repetitive. Special groups such as homosexuals and other felons.

4 lie ring

Unbelievers claim that they have proved Siraitia grosvenorii, even the first fruit, all kinds of unproven samadhi, and even that they are Buddhas.

There are also unprovoked slanders and bad words against people, gossiping between people and sowing discord; Use all kinds of language to do harm, groundless ridicule, ridicule others, make people worry, etc. Or lying, threatening, cheating, etc.

What is particularly false is that the increase is slow, that is, pedestrians get samadhi enlightenment and mistake it for a solution. The Buddhist system can be forgiven, but be careful what you say in the future, not repeating nonsense. Others are not very slow in demonstrating Samadhi or the first fruit, while others say that they have proved what they have done and what a petty crime is.

5 alcohol withdrawal

Repeated crimes in the case of out of control caused by the use or drinking of bad drugs and alcohol. Those who are not drunk are guilty or petty. "One-inch Classics" contains the Buddha's saying that "wine makes people drunk, and drunkenness makes people commit crimes". Even if you don't commit a crime here, you will inevitably neglect your words and deeds and bring yourself problems.

If you have to drink if you are sick and take medicine, you can also; But taking medicine and drinking is a misdemeanor.

What are the five precepts of Sanskrit?

Except for the fundamental five precepts, one abstinence precept has become a strict single Sanskrit precept, and the rest are the same under temptation. For today's Sanskrit precepts, I will refer to the rest. Sanskrit precepts mean that practitioners should reject any kind of sexual behavior, abstinence and celibacy.

What is the Sanskrit Eight Rings?

The five precepts of Sanskrit plus the following three precepts:

1 Not lying high means single bed. In ancient times, there were eight fingers of clouds to pave the way to limit leaving the ground. It has been allowed today.

Don't use cosmetics, skin care products, jewelry and other supplies, you can use soap and so on.

Don't eat after noon, that is, don't eat or drink after noon (around noon is the time limit, including rice, juice, milk and tea, and don't eat after this time limit), except boiled water, medicine, illness and things that are not suitable for hungry people.

Those who are willing or likely to stay at home can hold the eight, fifteen, twenty-three, twenty-nine (or thirty) days of each month. Hard-working, family conditions, can also be raised for life, or vowed to raise for several months or years, which is commendable.

What are the ten commandments in Sanskrit?

That is, eight precepts plus the following two precepts:

1 I don't listen to music and dance, but now it includes movies, TV, idle novels, dancing, singing and so on.

Recreational activities. In addition, among the Eight Rings held by the Four Elephants, there is no fragrance or ornament that is combined with this as one ring.

Don't touch gold and silver, which includes not using money and not storing money. It is extremely difficult for family members to seize this matter for life, and they do not ask for it. However, some travelers can catch it, usually in Sibusari. If you stick to it all your life, you will become a monk without enough precepts (Misha precepts). When Ye Jiafo was recorded in the middle, his disciple Porter kept the Ten Commandments all his life and was praised by the third Buddha.

What is the learning method?

The methods you have to learn include what you can and can't do outside the precepts, which is extremely broad. This paper briefly discusses several projects:

1 Respect monks and see them salute; Sit squatting or kneeling with a monk. Don't point your foot at him.

Bhikkhu; If you have questions, think first, and then simply ask; Don't accuse and ridicule monks; Protect your words and deeds and don't make the monk feel bad.

Respect the law, that is, when listening to the law and asking questions, the questioner should take off his shoes and sit down, trying not to interrupt the statement; You can't understand what you don't understand, and you don't know what you don't know.

Women at home should know not to be alone with monks, which is a serious warning to their monks. There should be at least one male traveler over seven years old sitting next to them. In nirvana, the Buddha warned Ananda before he died: avoid contact with women as much as possible. If it is unavoidable, you should be silent. If you can't be silent, be careful. It's not a woman's fault. It's just that some monks have not adjusted their minds and may make mistakes, so they do it.

4 Suitable occupation. The Buddha warned travelers at home not to do bad jobs, such as hotels, song and dance venues, brothels, executioners, speculators, livestock killers, tax collectors and so on. In short, occupations that pollute the mind should be avoided as soon as possible.

5 Good living environment. Try to arrange a clean and tidy living environment, try to avoid frequent contact with people who are not good at talking and who hold different opinions, and avoid contact with people who are troubled and persistent. Often with Zen * * *, which is beneficial to monasticism.

The four dignity (walking, living, sitting and lying down) should be clearly read, which is correct, out-and-out and tireless. For example, it is said in the "Pure Classic" that you should keep your roots, quit diligence and know the amount of food and drink.

Respect non-Taoist religious people, and don't attack, insult, slander or laugh at them arbitrarily and objectively because of their different religious opinions; Don't impose your religion on others and cause controversy. Note: In any case, the purpose of his religion is to pursue eternal truth and be good. It's just that they didn't find our way, but their original intention was good. People of some religions also have many external and internal achievements, so there is no need to belittle others. Little Buffa has a saying, "He who conquers himself is the best in the world".

Avoid superstitions and other methods, do not do divination, astrology, incantation, talk about ghosts and gods, possession, etc. See Brahma Skynet. If this is the case, practitioners should be aware of this and should implement it. In daily life, we should be charitable, help others, and remember the goodness and virtue of Buddhism, Dharma and monks, so that our hearts can be in harmony with Tao.

What is the most basic merit of keeping precepts?

"Nirvana" includes the Buddha's teaching to lay people outside Bahrain, and the five virtues are achieved by practicing precepts:

1. gained a great reputation.

2. Shame, guilt, honesty, diligence, listening, mindfulness and wisdom are seven sacred treasures.

3. A yogi will not be shy when approaching the homes of clean people such as monks.

At the end of life, abstainers are not confused or upset.

The tutor can be purified from his heart after his death and live happily for six days.

What is the external and internal sublimation of keeping precepts?

1. What is the external sublimation of keeping precepts?

The spiritual purity of practitioners is increased by observing precepts, and their desire for observing precepts is an external sublimation. Such a walker will go to Myanmar and other areas with sufficient precepts, return to the Buddhist community, become a monk according to the rules of the monk key, shave his head, be close to monks (teachers) for five years, be subjected to 227 Buddhist precepts for life, wear three clothes and a bowl, eat Japanese China, practice Sanskrit, become a direct descendant of the Buddha and a member of the holy monk group, and pursue the fruit of nirvana all his life.

2. What is the internal sublimation of keeping precepts?

On the basis of keeping precepts and purifying the soul, practitioners study and practice Vibasana Zen hard, and prove the Tao and the fruit, which is the sublimation of the heart. He (or she) lets the mind observe a certain part of the body (such as the ups and downs of the abdomen when breathing) by sitting or walking, and then deeply observes the accumulation, thoughts,

One by one, fully grasp the self-phase of the five elements of body and mind, so as to discover the impermanence, bitterness and selflessness of the five elements of body and mind, let go of the persistence of the five elements, personally prove the four truths, and finally get nirvana, that is, the arhat who has no students; Or he focused on one aspect of the five aggregates and proved that the color world named "Apana" was settled. Then he made a view of settling, saw the ups and downs of body and mind, and so on. Finally, he clearly saw the three characteristics of the five aggregates (impermanence, bitterness and selflessness), put down his persistence and personally proved nirvana. The above two kinds: the former is free from wisdom, and the latter is free; The person who got the certificate has now beheaded the ignorant and the thief who made trouble, and has become a confession of the world. When the body decays, it will enter the certificate and enjoy happiness with the Buddha forever.

The above contents can be realized and verified. Not far away, people will see the light of Buddhism. Therefore, practitioners should practice, at least to ensure that people who keep clean are interested in people and nature. However, a true walker should focus on the nirvana of this life and take his good deeds to eternity.

Not letting go is the road to immortality, and letting go is the road to death.

Those who don't let go don't die, and those who let go seem dead.

-Buddha, if this article has merits, I would like to repay those who suffer all over the world and wish them to get rid of their sufferings and enjoy happiness as soon as possible.
