At 16:00 on December 29, 2014, the core concrete structure of the Ping An Financial Center project of China Construction First Engineering Bureau was successfully capped at a height of 555.5 meters, setting a new height in Shenzhen. According to China Construction First Bureau, the general contractor of the project, the total height of the project will reach 592.5 meters after completion.

China Ping An Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (a member of Ping An Group) won the Shenzhen Futian Central District on November 6, 2007 A commercial plot will become the tallest building in Shenzhen upon completion. Ping An Group has raised RMB 10 billion in self-funded funds.

The land is located in the Futian Commercial Center District of Shenzhen, at the southwest corner of the intersection of Fuhua Road and Yitian Road.
