Beidaihe Beach is located in the west of Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. The climate here is pleasant, with a twenty-mile-long, winding and flat sandy beach with soft sand and flat tide, backed by lush Lianfeng Mountain, and a beautiful natural environment. Beidaihe seaside summer resort area starts from Daihekou in the west and ends at Yingjiao Pavilion in the east. It is about 20 miles long from east to west and about 3 miles wide from north to south. In addition, Changli, more than 20 miles southwest of Beidaihe, was opened as a beach in 1985 and is planned to be built as a new seaside summer resort. Beidaihe Beach has better sand quality and gentler slope, making it an excellent natural bathing beach. In the 24th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1898), the Qing government opened the Beidaihe seaside as a "summer resort for people from all over the world". By 1938, it had been built into a summer resort with a colonial flavor. After liberation, many new rest homes, sanatoriums, restaurants, and hotels were built in Beidaihe. The scale was larger than before, and it became my country's largest seaside summer resort with relatively complete facilities.

Beidaihe Beach is backed by Lianfeng Mountain. Lianfeng Mountain is divided into east and west peaks, about 3 miles apart. There are lush pine and cypress forests at the top and bottom of the mountain. The east Lianfeng Mountain is 130 meters above sea level. From the mountain path, you can reach the sea-viewing pavilion at the top of the mountain. Here you can overlook the seaside, the emerald green jungle, the goose-yellow carpet-like beach, and the blue sea, which makes you feel relaxed and happy. Beidaihe is one of the nine great sun viewing spots in China. Beidaihe Sun Viewing Point is located on the Beidaihe seaside, and the Yingjiao Pavilion at the northeast end is the best location.

At the foot of Donglianfeng Mountain, there is a Lotus Stone Park. There are large pine forests in the garden and rocks shaped like lotus flowers, so it is named Lotus Stone Park. To the north is the quaint and quiet Guanyin Temple, and to the east is the Zhujia Tomb with a gorgeous and luxurious cemetery building. There are also Gorky Park and Lu Xun Park beside Haibin Road. The Yingjiao Stone at the east end is a major scenic spot in Beidaihe. This is a solitary peak standing on the seaside. The stone is rugged, steep and shaped like an eagle, so it is named Yingjiao Stone. In the past, groups of wild pigeons once lived in the cracks in the rocks, so it was also called the pigeon nest. There is an Eagle Horn Pavilion built on the mountain peak. When you climb on it, you can look out at the sea and see the vast expanse of blue waves and rolling white waves, which makes you feel even more majestic.
