The Remaining Buildings in the Ancient Town of Tang Xun
Tang Xun Old Street is next to Tang Xun River bend, surrounded by water on three sides, like a peninsula, and consists of five bridges: Tang Xun Bridge, Qianxiandu Bridge, Houxiandu Bridge, Maowen Bridge and Gan Tang Bridge. Although the street town is not big, it is antique and complete. Tobacco and alcohol groceries, cloth, ironware shops, cocoon shops, pig markets, restaurants, noodle shops, teahouses, tiger stoves, fish stalls, postal services, medicinal materials, clinics, etc., as well as cocoon purchasing and processing centers. Nanjietou also preserves the former site of "Tang Xun Town Salvation Association" during the Republic of China.
In order to revitalize the ancient town and give full play to its value, some buildings in the ancient town of Tang Xun were transformed and upgraded on the basis of retaining the original historical features, and became characteristic boutique hotels under the Shuxiang Hotel Investment Group.
