It's in Lingjiao Village, Yangling District, Xi 'an. Sui Tailing Mausoleum is the cemetery of Emperor Wen of Sui, the founding emperor of Sui Dynasty.
Emperor Wen of Sui (541-64), born in Huayin, Hongnong (now huayin city, Shaanxi), was the father-in-law of the Northern Zhou Dynasty's Xuandi Yuwen. He was the state minister of the Northern Zhou Dynasty, became the King of Sui, and the static emperor Yuwen Yanli of the Northern Zhou Dynasty. Emperor Wen of Sui ruled the country with the father of the Empress Dowager, usurped Zhou Dynasty's power to destroy Chen and unify the whole country, with the title Sui and the title Emperor Kai. During his reign, he continued the land equalization system, expanded land reclamation, exempted salt and wine taxes, reorganized household registration, increased the number of people, weakened the powerful forces, and ensured the state's fiscal revenue. In the political system, reform the official system, establish a three-province system, and simplify local administrative institutions. It is stipulated that all local officials above grade nine shall be appointed and removed by the central government to strengthen centralization. The details are as follows:
In the first year of Emperor Kai (581), Cui Zhongfang's opinion was adopted to divide the six officials, and three divisions were established according to the old Han and Wei Dynasties, namely, Taishi, Taifu and Taibao; Three fairs, namely Qiu, Situ and Sikong; Shangshu, set up Shangshu orders, shoot around servants, and be omniscient; Under the door, give a speech and give it to the official; Civil history, prison order; Secretary, leading works; In waits, that is, the post of eunuch; Five provinces suggestion, the main impeachment; All water, the Lord made; Two sets of eleven temples, such as Taichang, namely Taichang, Guanglu, Weiwei, Zong Zheng, Taifu, Dali, Crack, Sinong, Taifu, Guozi and Zuojiang; The left and right guards and other 12 houses are all military houses; He was also placed on the eleventh-class meritorious officers from Zhuguo to DuDu, of which the general of Zhuguo was eighth, and the governor was third; There are also seven scattered officials, such as the scattered doctors; Those who have a good voice in civil and military affairs change their service to accepting words.
In the second year of Emperor Kai (582), in summer and June, Sui Zuoxin was located in Longshou (formerly known as Longshouyuan, in Longshou Village, Beiguan, Xi 'an) and named Daxing City.
In the summer and June of the fourth year of the Emperor's reign (584), Yuwen Kai was ordered to dig a canal from Wei, from Daxing to Tongguan for more than 3 miles, and it was named Guangtong Canal by water transportation.
In August of the fifth year of Emperor Kai (585), the Great Wall was built in Lingwu (now Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region) in the north of Shuozhou, extending for 7 miles from Hexi to Suizhou (now Suide, Shaanxi Province) in the east.
In the sixth year of the Emperor's reign (586), another 15, yuan was issued, and dozens of cities were built on the east and edge of Shuofang to curb Hu Kou.
In the spring and February of the 13th year of Emperor Kai (593), Yang Suying Renshou Palace was built on the West Tiantai Mountain in Linyou (now Shaanxi), and was completed in March of the 15th year of Emperor Kai (595). Fortunately, Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty was furious when he saw that it was too luxurious. "Yang Su made enemies for me."
According to Biography of Empresses and Concubines of Sui Shu, "Renshou (the year of Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty), the queen of literature dugu, was buried in Tailing in August of the second year (62)."
In the autumn and July of the fourth year of Renshou (64), Emperor Yang Guangming, the Prince, killed Prince Yong Yang and became emperor himself. Emperor Wen of Sui, Emperor Wen, was buried in Tailing in October, and was buried in Tailing with the Queen Dugu, the same grave but different caves. Both "Records of Scenic Spots in Guanzhong" and "Records of Mausoleum in Guanzhong" say that "the mausoleum is five feet high and hundreds of steps a week".
Tailing is a key cultural relic protection unit in Shaanxi Province.
