Where did Pangu come from?
The legend of Pangu's creation was first recorded in the literature, which was written by Xu Zheng during the Three Kingdoms period. This is a story about the arrival of Huang San, but this book has been lost now, and only part of it still exists.
But you should know that Xu's whole book is not a myth pieced together by his own imagination, but a story handed down from generation to generation, so it can't be said that Pangu's story only comes from the Three Kingdoms period.
In ancient China, people liked to tell stories in an unprofessional way, that is, only by word of mouth without taking notes, which led to many myths and legends only existing in people's mouths, and it was very difficult to verify them. The famous historian Lv Simian said when talking about Pangu? Gage said it was old, so it spread widely? The legend of Pangu is widely spread because the source of these stories is very long.
The general mainstream view is that Pangu originated from Baiyue, which refers to the southern coastal areas of China. To be more specific, some people say that Pangu is the ancestor of Cantonese. According to this statement, it can be confirmed in the literature of "Xu Yi Lu" in the Southern and Northern Dynasties:
South China Sea Plate Ancient Country? Today, there is an ancient tomb in the South China Sea, which is 300 miles long. A total of descendants of Yun buried Pangu's soul. There is Pangu Temple in Guilin. Do people want to worship it today?
Once upon a time, there was a Pangu kingdom in the South China Sea. Now, there are tombs and temples where people worship Pangu.
Its geographical location is Lushan Mountain in Guangdong Province, where the ancient Yao people lived. Of course, this statement is also controversial, because China is too big, and the myth of Pangu has spread all over the country. One of them is chosen here because more Pangu cultural relics have been found in Baiyue.
Pangu is actually a (P? nh? )?
Some scholars believe that Pangu is actually a blessing. It is a dog of Gao Xin in ancient legend. Gao Xin's is Di Ku (K? ), the great-grandson of the Yellow Emperor, is one of the five emperors.
It is said that during the period of Di Ku, when General Wu Rong launched a rebellion, Di Ku said that whoever could cut off his head would give him a fief as a reward and marry his daughter. The result was bitten off by General Wu's head, and the emperor had to fulfill his promise.
Later, the people who gave him fiefs respected him as their ancestors, and he became human. This story happened to spread in the southern minority areas, and Guan Yu's pronunciation was similar to that of Pangu, so some scholars thought that Pangu was actually Guan Yu.
But Mr. Lv Simian said? Never heard of it! ?
Indeed, Pangu was the god who created the world, and Yun Xuan was only the ancestor of Nan Man (then the fief of Yun Xuan was called Nan Man). The difference between the two is too far, and the relationship between the two cannot be determined because of a homonym.
Pangu is a foreign god?
Some scholars, including Mr. Lv Simian, believe that the myth of Pangu's creation originated in India, which is a mixture of people's own culture and some Buddhist sayings after Buddhism was introduced to China. Their main basis is that there was no Pangu myth before the Three Kingdoms and the Han Dynasty, and Buddhism was just introduced to China in the Han Dynasty. However, the records of Pangu in the Three Kingdoms period seem to be related to Buddhist stories in some places.
But they can't explain:? If there was a legend of Pangu in the Three Kingdoms period, how can we explain the formation of heaven and earth with the previous China culture? ?
Moreover, more relevance in Pangu mythology is related to China's ancient philosophy. For example, Lao Tzu said:
Birds of a feather flock together and are born naturally. ?
Before Laozi's philosophy, heaven and earth were the greatest gods. Only from Laozi did we think about the origin of heaven and earth.
So listen to the statement that Pangu is an alien god.
Ancient symbols of Pangu
In fact, whether at home or abroad, fairy tales are first passed on by word of mouth, and then spread more and more widely before they are compiled into books. This is mainly because many ethnic groups in ancient times did not have words, or words could not completely record a thing.
However, ancient ancestors were not stupid. If they can get along and take notes, there will naturally be other ways to take notes. For example, they will carve a symbol or even a simple painting on a stone. Don't underestimate these symbols. This is our research data on primitive ancestors' culture.
China once unearthed a bronze Fang Ding with a special cross symbol on it. After textual research by Guo Moruo and others, it is believed that this symbol refers to Pangu. ? Pangu? This is a special phrase. Can only be distinguished together. If we separate, we can't write it. So what? Pangu? This phrase is combined into a cross symbol.
All the paintings
In Cangyuan, Yunnan, archaeologists found many ancient rock paintings, including a picture of a man with an axe in one hand and wood in the other. His legs were upright and his head was still shining.
This is very consistent with the myth that Pangu split the world with an axe. If these murals can be further confirmed, the Pangu myth can be traced back at least 20 thousand years ago.
Malipo king rock painting
Now, more and more people think that the rock paintings of Dawang are evidence of Pangu's creation. Because in the king's rock paintings, there are two giants with indomitable spirit, which is very consistent with the image of Pangu in the Thirty-Five Calendars:
The sky is ten feet high and Pangu is ten feet long? .
In other words, Pangu grows with the sky every day and always opposes the sky.
More importantly, Yi Shu Ji said:
? Pangu couple, the beginning of yin and yang? .
It means that Pangu has a wife, and the couple represent yin and yang, but in the rock paintings of the king, there are just two people, representing yin and yang respectively. According to the fact that two people have three fingers and four fingers respectively, three fingers represent yang and heaven, and four fingers represent yin and earth, this is not nonsense, but this result is based on the theory of Yi-ology:
Tianyi, second; Tian San, Di Si; Tian Wu, Liu Di; Bati Tianqi; Tianjiu, Dickinson "Hey? Cohesion upload
This is the theory of Yin and Yang in the Book of Changes. You may ask, do fingers really represent numbers, and can they really be explained by the Book of Changes? Think about it, why do those fortune tellers emphasize that they are proficient in the Book of Changes, and why do they pinch their fingers when fortune telling?
If you think so, do you understand?
Dawang Rock Painting is a Neolithic relic, dating back at least 10000 years. No matter Cangyuan rock paintings or Dawang rock paintings, it can at least prove that Pangu is a mythical figure in ancient times and a unique god in China, not foreign.
