On this premise, in order to ensure that the planning of Zhengdong New District reflects the requirements of the new century, new Zhengzhou, high starting point and high grade, in September 21, we adopted the method of international bidding for the overall conceptual planning of Zhengdong New District. After many investigations and business negotiations, 11 companies, including Japanese Kiyoshi Kurokawa Office, French Charcot Office, American SASAKI Company and China Urban Planning and Design Institute, were selected to participate in the planning and design competition. After repeated reviews by more than 3 experts at home and abroad, with Song Chunhua, chairman of China Architecture Society (former vice minister of the Ministry of Construction) and Chen Xiaoli, chief planner of the Ministry of Construction, the Japanese Kurokawa Ji Zhang scheme won unanimous praise from experts for its advanced concept and unique design, and finally stood out. Subsequently, we showed the planning scheme to the public and conducted a questionnaire survey. More than 9% of the citizens agreed with the Kurokawa scheme. On this basis, in March 22, the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress passed a resolution to confirm the planning scheme in the form of local regulations.
