I was really lucky to participate in the 11th National Hotel Service Skills Competition. 1. First of all, about the creative theme.

Under the guidance of the teacher, I realized that the theme of our stage setting needs to be close to real life and can be applied to hotels, not just utopian people's idealization. When determining the theme, we also need to consider whether the theme decorations related to the theme are easy to find and buy, otherwise the theme is relatively not very good, because it can not be well displayed to everyone! I also adopted three themes and decided on the fourth one. Don't bother, listen to the teacher's advice, it is normal and worthwhile to change the theme, because in the end, you will find that when your final theme is presented to you, you will be proud, and then you will be ashamed of your immature ideas!

It is said that everything is difficult at the beginning, which really reminds you of the theme suddenly, and you are still very confused. Don't panic. At this time, stop and think about the books or movies you have seen. Are there any banquet scenes that impress you or the spirit it expresses is worth learning? You can also ask friends who like reading books and watching American dramas, or you can search for the information you need through the browser, Zhihu, Weibo and WeChat official account articles! In fact, looking for information is also a very interesting thing, you will accidentally find a lot of information you can think of!

Step 2 Practice.

This accounts for 60% of the competition results, which is a top priority. Be sure to take it seriously and practice more at ordinary times. It should be noted that we usually pour wine with red wine bottles and white wine bottles when practicing. If not, there will always be a way to do it! In addition, pay attention to the fact that the whole operation will be two minutes less than the time stipulated in the competition, which means that you must speed up the practice at ordinary times, so that there will be room to avoid overtime in the competition!

There may be some changes during the competition, which is different from the usual practice. Just rehearse the changed parts about three times in advance to ensure that you will not forget the operation order when you go on stage! During the operation, everyone may set the stage in a different order. Don't interrupt your pace because of the order of others, and don't confuse yourself because of the speed of others. In fact, if you practice normally, everyone's speed can be completed within the specified time. So there is no need to deliberately look at the timetable during the game: how long do I have left, because maybe you didn't see the timetable clearly when you looked at the time, but you just wasted a few seconds. Every second in the game is precious.

In addition, when practicing at ordinary times, whether holding tableware or wine glasses, the movements should be standard, with the left hand behind the stool and the arm holding the tray at right angles.

3. Comprehensive theoretical questions and oral English test.

The comprehensive theoretical problem is a computer test, with 200 questions an hour. Among them, multiple-choice questions 108, with a score of 0.25 ***27, multiple-choice questions 4 1, with a score of ***4 1, with a score of 0.25 * * 10, and case analysis 10. Oral English is the preparation time of five minutes before entering the examination room, and then the teacher asks questions, translates words and talks with the teacher. Word translation only needs correct pronunciation, not spelling. Scenario simulation can change the reference answers appropriately, and teachers may not follow the given question bank completely, so they need to master it flexibly.

4. Thanks to my tutor

That is a teacher who treats his work meticulously and sacrifices holidays to guide us. I don't know what words to express my gratitude! One person is responsible for two things, Chinese food and western food. He is still discussing the theme decoration around midnight, and there will be a discussion at six in the morning. On the day of the game, I accompanied the game for more than five hours and didn't even have time to eat lunch! The next day, I caught the earliest bus to help Chinese food players. I couldn't help feeling sorry for my teacher! Finally, I really want to hug the teacher and say: Teacher, you have worked hard!

5. Students' gains

Personally, I feel that I have gained a lot from participating in this hotel service skill competition. The whole competition took nearly two months from preparation to completion. There were setbacks and difficulties, but four people helped each other. I was nervous when I didn't go to the stadium. After watching a few games with the teacher, I was not nervous. Anyway, I feel very relaxed. Even while I was waiting, several players talked about their training, and everyone thought it was not difficult. However, when the whistle sounded, everyone seemed to be blindsided when touching the bedding, which was completely different from training. It is difficult to cover the sheets, and the boys are lucky to get rid of them, so the girls are having a hard time. The most terrible thing is the quilt core, which is very thin and has a kind of suction that is difficult to shake off in the quilt cover. In addition, the height of the mattress is inconsistent, which leads to the wrong end line of the bed, and the error of long front and short rear angle appears. 60% of skills and one point of actual operation are fatal, so we must pay attention to the practical part. Generally speaking, I learned a lot from this competition, and I hope I can make up for this regret in my future study and similar competitions.

On the whole, the overall strength of undergraduate group is not as good as that of higher vocational and secondary vocational schools. Look at their skills display, just like the standard, which makes people admire. Comparatively speaking, I think our strength is much inferior. We need to strengthen it from three aspects. English and skills should have been our strengths, but this time we didn't play our strengths, and our skills were really inferior to others. Therefore, we should practice our skills in private and pay attention to creativity. Only in this way can we achieve the desired results.
