Brief introduction of WBC in World Coffee Masters

The World Barista Championship (WBC) is an outstanding international coffee competition sponsored by the World Coffee Association (WCE) every year. The purpose of the competition is to introduce high-quality coffee and promote the professionalism of baristas. The World Coffee Association (WCE) was established in Dublin, Ireland by the European Professional Coffee Association and the American Professional Coffee Association.

The World Coffee Master Competition (WBC) is an outstanding international coffee competition sponsored by the World Coffee Association (WCE) every year. The purpose of the competition is to introduce high-quality coffee and promote the professionalism of baristas. The annual (barista) competition attracts audiences from all over the world and pushes the competitions around the world to a climax.

Every year, champion representatives from more than 50 countries will make 4 cups of espresso, 4 cups of cappuccino and 4 kinds of special drinks with strict standards in 15 minutes of (wonderful) music.

WCE judges from all over the world will judge (score) the taste, cleanliness, creativity, skills and overall performance of each work. Popular specialty drinks show their unique tastes and experiences to the judges through the imagination and rich coffee knowledge of the barista.

12 players who won the first round advanced to the semi-finals, and 6 players who won the semi-finals advanced to the finals. The winner of the final will become the champion of the (annual) World Coffee Master Competition!

World Coffee Master Competition (WBC) authorized China World Coffee Master Competition to be the only coffee making competition with professional standards, systematic operation and international certification in China, enjoying the reputation of Coffee Olympics. Its purpose is to discover and guide the coffee trend, spread the coffee culture, and provide a platform for professional baristas around the world to perform, compete and communicate.

Since the competition was introduced to China by Shanghai Bohua International Exhibition Co., Ltd. in 2003, it has been focusing on coffee making technology and has been committed to promoting the concept and cause of Chinese coffee culture. This competition has been widely praised and strongly supported by Chinese coffee industry enterprises, and it has also become the cradle for the growth of a new generation of baristas in China. China Division of the World Coffee Teacher Competition proudly entered its thirteenth year. 20 15 will set up 20+ competition areas nationwide to select players, covering major central cities in East China, North China, South China and Southwest Chinese mainland. The selected excellent barista will perform at the HOTELEXShanghai from March 30th to April 2nd, 20 15.

WCE certification judges from all over the world evaluate each performance according to the taste, cleanliness, creativity, technical skills and overall performance of the drinks provided. This popular iconic drink can let baristas use their imagination and let the judges' sense of taste integrate rich coffee knowledge into the expression of personal taste and experience.

The top 12 players in the first round advanced to the semi-finals. The top six semi-finalists will enter the final of Group D, and one winner will win the world barista championship!
