Meng Temple, also known as "Yasheng Temple", is the ancestral temple of Mencius, a famous thinker in the Warring States Period. Mencius (372 ~ 289 BC) was born in Zou (Zou County, Shandong Province), and was a famous family in the old state of Lu. He was a disciple of Confucius' Zi Si. Later, he developed Confucius' theory of benevolence and put forward the idea of "benevolent government", which was called the Meng Si School and represented the true lineage of Confucius. Later generations compared him with Confucius, calling the Confucian thought of managing the world "the way of Confucius and Mencius". In the Song Dynasty, the name of Mencius was Zou Guogong, who was given Zou Guoya in the second year of Yuan Dynasty (133 1), and was renamed Yasheng in the ninth year of Ming Jiajing (1530).
In the Song Dynasty, a temple was built near the tomb of Mencius. In the third year of Xuanhe (1 12 1), the address was moved. After more than 30 generations of expansion and reconstruction, it was built in the Ming Dynasty. The temple is rectangular, with a length of 3 17 meters from north to south and a width of 85 meters from east to west, covering an area of 100 mu. The courtyard has five entrances, including 64 halls, two pavilions and five squares. Since the Han Dynasty, there have been 275 square steles, and Han stone reliefs 10 1. Most of the main buildings in the temple are built on the central axis, including the sub-temple and the sleeping hall of Mencius and his wife, the Qi Temple and the Temple of Mencius' parents in the east, and the Jia Temple and the Zhai Hall in the west. The Confucius Temple is a place dedicated to the ancestor Mencius, which was rebuilt in the 11th year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1672). The hall is seven rooms wide and has twenty-six columns, all of which are octagonal, with the stone drum as the column base. The ancient trees in the Meng Temple are lush, mostly cypresses, with ginkgo and vines dotted in it, making the ancient buildings still full of vitality. Dong Qichang, a famous painter and painter in the Ming Dynasty, praised: "The tree of Aimeng Temple is a typical example." Wogenzhu is moist and full of energy. Come out to grind Qin Shu, towering dew. Local chronicles died, and only people listed immortal scriptures. "
Meng Fu, also known as Yasheng Fu, is located on the west side of Meng Temple and is the residence of Meng Hanbo, a doctor of the Five Classics in the Hereditary Academy of Mencius.
The establishment date of the Mongolian government is unknown. This site was moved here in the third year of Song Xuanhe (1 12 1), and most of the existing buildings are relics of Ming and Qing Dynasties. The government compound faces south, 226 meters long and 98 meters wide. It is a courtyard with four entrances, with 1 16 halls and gates.
