Shopping guide of Bangkok Old Town

Friends who travel to Bangkok will generally consider what interesting ancient towns there are in Bangkok, Thailand, and shopping may be a good choice. People who go abroad can read articles or order collections, which must be a concern of people who go abroad. Let's take a look at the shopping guide of the old city of Bangkok! Welcome to reading.

Shopping guide of Bangkok Old Town

Visiting a city and the old city is an unavoidable topic. In most cases, the old city is the soul of the city in the eyes of local people. No matter how shabby it is, it always has an irreplaceable position. However, tourists may not be able to understand this feeling.

It is said to be an authentic snack. I turned to No.89 Hutong to look for a facade, and the waiter's aunt looked timid. As soon as I eat it, it becomes a hollow reputation. Tao is a local heritage. After following the navigation for 8800 steps, I was almost splashed with a washbasin of vegetable washing water in the cramped alley. After shopping for ten minutes, I looked puzzled. Listen to the internet, how come it doesn't taste like this when you play by yourself?

My personal attitude towards the old city is that I have to go. But you have to play by yourself. If you want to really understand a city, a little homework is still necessary. For example, a square highlight moment; Historical background of the building; The symbolic meaning of landmarks and so on. All kinds of scenic spots in the old city, if you just leave a photo of the tour here, it's really nothing interesting.

Bangkok has only a history of more than 200 years, and the characteristics of the old city are concentrated in Kahin Island, Ladner, which is also the core of the old city. However, in the concept of tourism, I tend to include Chinatown. In this case, the whole old city can be roughly divided into four areas. Grand Palace District; Old landmark area; Mountain road area; Chinatown area.

Never mind how disgusting the lines are. It is conservatively estimated that it takes at least half a day for each district to experience a rough idea. Therefore, parents with limited time need to choose from dozens of scenic spots/landmarks/restaurants/communities in these four districts, and then match a rich and interesting ancient city exploration route. Believe me, it's an interesting process.

Grand Palace District

Speaking of status, the Grand Palace is equivalent to Bangkok and the Forbidden City is equivalent to Beijing, both of which are the highest-level landmark attractions in China. This riverside area has gone through many stages in history, from the Chinese community business center that was first annexed by Wu Li dynasty, to the royal center of Bangkok dynasty, and then to the tourist resort full of tourists now. No matter from the perspective of history, architecture, culture or people's livelihood, we can almost find the epitome of the changes of the times here.

Grand Palace and Jade Buddha Temple (map number: 1)

The Grand Palace is the royal palace of Thailand, which was built in Rama I period and is a symbol of Bangkok dynasty. In the history of more than 200 years, the architecture and pattern of the Grand Palace have been constantly changing, and many exquisite palaces were born in the period of Rama V a hundred years ago. From the architectural point of view, the Grand Palace is a vivid case of the evolution of royal architecture.

The whole palace covers an area of about 220,000 square meters. If we make an intuitive comparison, the Forbidden City covers an area of 720,000 square meters. Today, some areas of the Grand Palace are open for tourists to visit, but quite a few of them are still important offices of the royal family, and they are heavily guarded. The use of some buildings in the Grand Palace can be seen in the article on royal funeral recently pushed by us.

The Jade Buddha Temple in the northeast corner is the most sacred temple in Thailand, and there is no one. The jade Buddha enshrined in the temple is the patron saint of Bangkok dynasty and the priceless treasure of Siam. If you travel to Chiang Rai, you can visit the Jade Buddha Temple in Chiang Rai near the Golden Triangle, which is said to be the original location of the Jade Buddha. As a tourist, I love and hate the Grand Palace and the Jade Buddha Temple. Thai people's palace and temple building skills are definitely the first echelon in the world. The whole palace is resplendent and magnificent, which can withstand the scrutiny of any detail. It's amazing to enjoy it all the way.

If there weren't so many tourists and less sunshine, this is a place worth slowing down and savoring. Unfortunately, this is almost impossible. So whether you go or not depends on people. Tickets to 500 yuan, hot weather, well-organized tourists and strict requirements, if you only punch in for one hour for the reputation of "Bangkok must go", you have made a prudent decision.

It is recommended to wait for admission at the opening point in the morning.

Time: 8:30- 16:30 (stop selling tickets one hour in advance)

Admission: 500 baht, including Jade Buddha Temple.

Requirements: there are dress restrictions (you can buy them at the door)

Major festivals and ceremonies will be closed irregularly.

Sleeping Buddha Temple (map number: 2)

The reclining Buddha Temple is almost a fixed package for a one-day tour of the Grand Palace. If you go to the Grand Palace, it is inevitable here. The reclining Buddha Temple also began in Rama I period. Now the temple houses the largest reclining Buddha statue in Thailand, and its toes have been touched, showing its figure. Historically, the reclining Buddha is not only the first echelon of Thai temples, but also the birthplace of contemporary mass education, such as thai massage, which everyone loves. Today, it is still the most prestigious thai massage school in Thailand. Planning to come here and experience the most authentic thai massage? Whoa, whoa, whoa. Do you know what this means?

Any time is fine.

Time: 8:30- 18:30

Admission: 100 baht,

Massage: about 250 baht.

Major festivals, ceremonies, etc. It may be closed irregularly.

National Museum (map number: 9)

Bangkok National Museum is a must-see destination for museums in Bangkok. This is the first national museum in Thailand, dating back to Rama IV. It was officially opened as a museum in the era of Emperor V, and then moved out of the Grand Palace, becoming the largest museum in Bangkok and the largest museum in Southeast Asia.

People who have a strong interest in Thai history and culture will find precious cultural products of various periods in Thailand, including statues, paintings, books, buildings and so on. In addition, it is the best way to know about royal life and ceremonies, and many instruments are still in use. In addition, the museum will provide foreign language visits on Wednesday and Thursday.

It is recommended to visit in the hot afternoon.

Time: 9:00- 16:00 (Wednesday to Sunday)

Admission: 200 baht (not on the Muse pass)

Requirements: Some exhibition halls need slippers, please don't make noise.

Currently under renovation.

Siam Museum (map number: 10)

Compared with the seriousness of the National Museum, the Siam Museum is much more lively. On the former site of Thai Ministry of Commerce near Tha Tien Pier, Siam Museum has occupied the fun and leisure time of Bangkok youth weekend for ten years. Relying on advanced interactive demonstration technology, Siam Museum tells the history and development of Thailand in the most vivid way, turning boring history education into a time travel.

As far as the overall experience is concerned, this museum is very interesting to experience as long as it knows a little English. However, some of them will be a little naive, and their mentality should be younger. In the article we recommended Muse Pass six months ago, we predicted that this museum, which has been under renovation, would reopen in September. But you know, the museum still can't go now. This time, it was said that it was opened on 65438+February 2, which should be more reliable.

It is recommended to visit in the hot afternoon.

Time: 10:00- 18:00 (Tuesday to Sunday)

Admission: 200 baht (on the Muse Pass)

Tha Maharaj (map number: 14)

Tha Maharaj is a rare place full of fashion in the whole region. This is a dock, but it is also a trend gathering place that young people love to go to. However, only ships with blue flags will dock at the pier in Maharaj. From this perspective, the terminal seems to serve the market. From the point of view of eating and sightseeing, Tha Maharaj does not lose, but it is still not as good as Siam, Tongluo and Satong in the city.

Some online celebrity desserts have settled here, such as the famous After You. From this point of view, Maharaj can still walk several blocks in one second, compared with the nearby Jobiman River Pedestrian Road. It's a good idea to come here at night to watch the sunset and have dessert.

Recommended as a traffic import and export, you can stroll around.

Time: 10:00-23:00

Consumption: per capita 100 baht.

From this pier, you can go to the central pier.

Tatian (map number: 20)

Many people may not notice when they come to the Grand Palace and the Reclining Buddha Temple. Presumably, everyone's attention has been hooked by the Liming Temple on the other side. That community is one of the oldest in Bangkok. As early as the big city period, it was a very important military fortress and pier, and it was also the settlement of Chinese at that time. With the changes of the times, it gradually developed into the most important commercial center in Bangkok, reaching its peak in the period of Rama V.

With the gradual decline of commercial attributes, today's Thatien is completely the development attribute of tourism. The ivory colonial building exudes charming fresh charm, but I never thought it was actually a dry goods market. Just stroll around, and the dry goods inside are sold all over Bangkok. By the way, there are also some best river view hotels and restaurants nearby. Not surprisingly, this area is a destination that every tourist will carefully consider, and most of them will choose to visit.

Be reasonable, I don't like mountain roads very much. When I first went to Bangkok, I was obsessed with fame and thought I would never go again. After all these years, my mind hasn't changed at all. Every time I talk about this place, I always describe it as noisy and disorderly. Of course, I didn't mean to bury the mountain road. But the impression given to tourists here is that it is easy to go to extremes. On the internet, many people, like me, have become overwhelmed on the neon-flashing, shoulder-to-shoulder Jiaoshan Road, and even have no desire to eat roadside stalls. Presumably this is the so-called tourism attribute.

By the mountain road (map number: 15)

The mountain road used to be the largest rice market in Bangkok, but it was gradually evolved into a small earth in Bangkok by backpackers and lonely planets. This is the earliest and most important tourist distribution center in Bangkok. No matter where you plan to go in Thailand, you can always find your way to your destination by the mountain road. This is the place where western backpackers practice law, and tattoos and bars are the serious things. Even roadside stalls have this style, and not selling dark dishes with spicy eyes is like no business. However, if you haven't been here, I still recommend you to have a look. After all, there are many places worth exploring in this place besides staying up late.

Blue Starbucks

This is probably the only "blue Starbucks" in the world. The all-blue exterior wall is wrapped in the old arcade left over from World War II, and the green signboard of Starbucks looks a little different with Turkish blue. In addition to blinking, the interior is also very amorous. The old tiles of the circular arched door are matched with retro table and chair chandeliers, and even the glass on the exquisite wooden window has a strong retro charm. It's a good idea to have coffee on the balcony on the second floor and see the old streets in the afternoon.

Taicai school

This is probably the most concentrated place of Thai food school in Bangkok. Backpackers love to experience, and cooking Thai food is obviously a double whammy. Famous scenic spots within walking distance include lemon vanilla and Maliwan. Although the overall service and environment are not as good as Blue Elephant and Mandarin Oriental. On the road to the mountain, the slightly tangled embarrassment has become the feeling of "grounding gas" pursued in the experience. Order has never been a feature of this city.

Time: from darkness to dawn

Requirements: don't hurt the gas, pay attention to theft and fraud prevention.

Bang Lamphu (map number: 1 1)

Bang Lamphu is probably the most famous community in Bangkok, and there is no one. This administrative concept is roughly equivalent to domestic streets. The famous mountain road is located in Banglumpu. As one of the oldest communities in Bangkok, the low-rise residential buildings in Bang Lamphu are best preserved because they are close to many historical buildings and scenic spots.

Countless restaurants and shops are mixed with folk customs, and cafes have a sense of design. The first thing that young people in Bangkok do when they return to their old communities is to give new life to the old ones in their own way. Of course, it can also be understood that there are ways to make money, but in general, the roots of Bang Lamphu have not changed. I don't recommend living here. Although it is close to the Grand Palace, democracy monument and the mountain road, you may not be used to living in a shabby neighborhood, believe me. If you have time, I strongly recommend coming for a walk.

Museums that can be visited in the community include:

Coin Museum (Muse Pass)

Pipit Bang Lamphu Museum (Muse Pass

National Museum of Art

Bangkok City Library

In addition, several places to eat can also be seen:

Well-known Vietnamese powder Kundang Guijueyuan

Nai Soie, the famous beef noodles.

Ratchadamnern Stadium (map number: 13)

Muay Thai is a very old kind of boxing and a well-deserved national quintessence of Thailand. Looking back on the development history of hundreds of years, Muay Thai has developed from early self-defense to today's highly ornamental performing arts, and its competitive spirit is always exciting. Ratchadamnern Muay Thai Hall has a history of more than 70 years. From the earliest open-air venue to the modern boxing hall, this place has become a national symbolic Muay Thai hall.

For decades, a wonderful modern Muay Thai competition has been held here at a fixed time every week. The two sides fight, 100% really fight, defending the dignity and wealth of the boxer. If you like Muay Thai, this is the ideal place to experience it. Seven spoonfuls, a few steps away, is a super hot restaurant in the ancient city. You can consider solving dinner first and then watching the boxing match.

Lonon Market (mapNo.: 16)

It is purely selfish to include this century-old market in this map. I like visiting the local vegetable market very much. From my experience of visiting the market, a good market is not clean or unclean, but hot or not, new or not, delicious or not. Therefore, I don't like Torkol near JJ market.

As a tourist, the mentality of going to the local market is definitely not better than that of the locals. The most serious thing is to visit a fresh map and eat a delicious food. If you decide to go to Ratchadamnern to watch the boxing match, don't miss it. The market is too delicious to eat, but the most worth pushing is probably Kuaytiaw Kaeng, which is rare in the city, that is, yellow curry fish powder.

This dish belongs to Thai cuisine in Thailand. Because most of southern Thailand is Muslim, it is almost impossible for pork to appear in this dish. Rice noodles are generally good. Meat is usually chicken or beef. Vegetables are popular bean sprouts in Thailand. Sometimes they are eaten with oil beans or boiled eggs. Go all the way to the alley, and you will find it with great probability.

Suitable for shopping all day.
