Remember the "shortest building in the world" built by China? Used for 12 years. How's it going now?

Known as the "crazy infrastructure", China is always able to build various large-scale projects efficiently, among which there are many ingenious ideas at home and abroad, all of which were built after overcoming the dangerous terrain of nature.

This hotel with the lowest altitude has just attracted the attention of other countries and media reports. This hotel is Shanghai Sheshan Shimao Intercontinental Hotel. Different from other hotels, other hotels are building higher and higher, soaring into the sky and competing for the tallest building in the world. However, the Intercontinental Sheshan Shanghai was built underground. There are only two floors on the ground, but there are 16 floors below. As long as you are in the picture, you can feel the miracle created by manpower and technology. Not only ingenious, but also beautifully designed, perfectly integrated with the surrounding natural environment.

Before the hotel was built, it was a huge pit, but a former mining pit was abandoned and left here. From top to bottom, the big hole in the ground looks like a big scar. It took 12 years to turn the deep pit here into a unique and beautiful hotel.

You may not know. Even if the pit is deep, there are many underground bases. Why did this hotel take 12 years?

In fact, 12 is only the construction cost. Before the construction, the design team almost went bald for this deep pit, and it took seven years to come up with a design plan. You think this is a third-rate design team? No, no, it's the world's top design team, and the famous Dubai Sailing Hotel was also made by the same person. With the ingenious design and cooperation of China engineers, it took nearly 20 years to present such a beautiful building to the world.

But even the world's top engineers in China were surprised to see the designer's drawings. Just like the contradiction between the painter and the modeler in the game, this design is so good, but how to do it? The technical problems involved in this unprecedented low-altitude hotel are enough to give the construction team a headache. The people who built it are amazing and dazzling masterpieces; But if it fails, it will become the talk of others after dinner.

Look, what reverse method, transportation on the cliff and so on. It's scary just to listen. And because there is no reference, there is no way to learn from all over the world and various cases. If there is, it is also an analysis case of becoming someone else's desk after successful construction.

After construction, just after the first pass, how can workers and materials be transported to such a deep pit? Common plank roads and elevators are impossible and unsafe in this special terrain. Finally, in various simulations, an 80-meter-high column was built, standing in a deep pit, with elevators installed at both ends and stabilized by a cliff. At least the first level of reverse transportation is over. But the second level is coming soon.

Everyone only knows that buildings need concrete, but they don't know that in the past, when building high-rise buildings, concrete was not lifted up casually, but was taken from bottom to top with a high-pressure pump. If you go down, the pit is 80 meters deep. What is the difference between throwing concrete directly at the bottom of the pit and throwing it to the ground from an altitude of 80 meters? Moreover, the concrete will separate the stones from the mortar in the process of falling. Engineers spent a lot of time on this hurdle, using buffers and modifying specific formulas, and finally solved the problem.

Do you think it's over? Of course not. It can also be seen from the physical objects that the hotel is a natural arc near the cliff. However, the cliff is not vertical and smooth, so the load-bearing pipe used for building repair cannot be used, and special special-shaped steel pipes should be used. But bearing involves the safety of the whole building and must not be sloppy. It can't be tested on the spot, so the team spent a year on the computer just for deduction and calculation.

The final building is not so much a hotel as a super-safe fortress. It can resist earthquakes, prevent heavy rain from flowing backwards and so on. After the completion of this project, the team will have 4 1 patents, half of which are brand-new inventions from scratch. It makes people feel numb. I can't wait to live there and feel it.

Even the designers didn't expect it to come true, so they can't help but feel the ability of China engineers and their spiritual will to succeed regardless of all difficulties.

Today, this beautiful hotel located in Huachen Road, Songjiang District, Shanghai has become one of the "Top Ten Architectural Wonders in the World". You can imagine how shocking this is to the world.

It is not only a beautiful hotel environment and a beautiful living experience, but also supporting recreational facilities including but not limited to bungee jumping, rock climbing and theme parks. Give full play to the unique advantages of the terrain. what do you think? Want to go to the scene?
