Highlight: Shaoxing, as a famous cultural city and a water city in the south of the Yangtze River, is not only peaceful and peaceful, but also has a word "romantic", that is, the annual "China Shaoxing Cherry Blossom Festival" and the Houshan Peach Blossom Festival.
In warm spring, it has become a local custom to invite friends and relatives to enjoy flowers here. In addition, there are famous scenic spots around Shaoxing, such as Dayu Tomb, San Tan Yin Yue, Lanting and Shenjiayuan, which are very suitable for two-day tour.
About Houshan
Houshan is located in Gaobu Town, Yuecheng District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. Formerly known as "Dog Pavilion Mountain", it is also known as "Dog Mountain". Later, the homonym of the local dialect was changed to "Houshan".
Houshan has unique natural scenery and a long human history. Since the Han Dynasty, after thousands of years of chopping stone axes and natural creation, it has formed a unique natural landscape of Shan Qi, stone monsters, secluded caves and deep waters, which is an outstanding representative of Shaoxing stone culture.
2400 years ago, Houshan Scenic Area was one of the important bases for Zhu Jian, the King of Yue, to realize the great cause of revenge and rejuvenation. This is the site of the ancient Yueqing porcelain kiln during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. Lu You, a great patriotic poet in Song Dynasty, is the ancestor of three generations. He built houses and temples here and lived there. After thousands of years of quarrying, a variety of unique landscapes such as mountains, water, caves, ponds and buddhas have been formed.
This is the main attraction of Houshan. In spring, the back hill is full of colorful flowers. The red one is peach blossom, the white one is cherry blossom and the yellow one is rape flower. The three most beautiful flowers in spring are a good interpretation of the spring scenery in the back mountain. The hall behind the flowers used to be the shooting place of the TV series Gou Jian, the King of Yue, and the sequel of The Journey to the West. Two towering strange stones in the distance are the landmark landscape of Roaring Mountain. The slender and graceful one on the left is called "marble", and the vigorous one on the right is called "chessboard stone".
The roaring mountain scenery lives up to its reputation.

The most attractive thing about Houshan after a spring outing is the 10,000 mu of flowers in Guo Huayuan. Peach blossom, cherry blossom, magnolia flower, rape flower, etc. Decorate the back hill with colorful flowers. The flower orchard is a major feature of the scenery in Houshan. Flowers and fruits are full of slopes, and mountains and rivers set each other off. Houshan Taolin is known as "Huaguoshan" and has a long history. The color of roaring mountain
There are also many cherry blossoms in the back mountain, and the little bees are busy collecting honey.
Magnolia is full of flowers.
Second, visit Zen and ask Jiuhua Mountain to appreciate the beauty of the sacred mountain of Buddhism.
Highlight: Li Bai, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, once said, "I am on the Jiujiang River, overlooking Jiuhua Mountain. Tianhe hangs green water, showing nine hibiscus flowers ... "Jiuhua Mountain is a famous poem with beautiful scenery and surrounded by mountains. Tiantai Mountain is the highest mountain in Jiuhua Mountain. The ancients said that it is not a trip to Jiuhua Mountain until you reach Tiantai Mountain.
Jiuhua Mountain was called Ling yangshan and Jiuzi Mountain in ancient times, but it was renamed Jiuhua Mountain in Tianbao period of Tang Dynasty (742 ~ 756) because Jiu Feng was shaped like a lotus flower. Jiuhua Mountain is one of the three major mountain systems in southern Anhui (Huangshan Mountain, Jiuhua Mountain and Tianmu Mountain). Located in Qingyang County, Chizhou City, Anhui Province, it faces Tianzhu Mountain across the river in the northwest and shares the same brightness with Huangshan Mountain in the southeast. It is the main entrance and scenic spot in the northern part of the "two mountains and one lake" golden tourist area in Anhui Province (Huangshan, Jiuhuashan and Taiping Lake). Fiona Fang 120km, with a total area of 334km2 and the highest peak elevation of 1342m.
The main body of Jiuhua Mountain is composed of Yanshanian granite, with peaks as the main body and basins, canyons, streams and springs intertwined. The mountain is rugged, with a total of 99 peaks, among which Jiu Feng, such as Tiantai, Tianzhu, Ten Kings, Lotus, Lohan, Duxiu and Furong, is the most majestic. Wang Feng is the highest, with an altitude of1342m. The main scenery is concentrated in the range of 100 square kilometers. There are many ancient temples in the mountains, filled with cigarettes, towering old trees, beautiful and quiet, and known as the "Lotus Buddha Country". There are 78 existing temples and more than 6,000 Buddha statues. There are also rare animals and plants on the mountain, such as cash cows, jingling birds and giant salamanders.
Main attraction
jiuhua street
More than 600 meters above sea level, it is the center of Jiuhua Mountain, and the main temples are also concentrated here, so it is known as the "Lotus Buddha Country". It is actually a mountain city. In addition to temples, there are schools, hotels, shops and farmhouses. Visitors can stay here and visit the scenic spots on the mountain as a starting point. Huacheng Temple on Jiuhua Street is the oldest golden temple in Jiuhua Mountain and the main temple of Jiuhua Mountain. The architecture of the temple is laid out according to the mountain situation, which embodies the superb art of architectural design. Not far from Jiuhua Street to the east, there is a temple built on a cliff, which is the famous "Hundred Years Palace". On its plaque, there are ten gold words: "Give me the Centennial Palace to protect our country and defend our country."
Walking into the mountain gate of this lotus Buddha country, I looked forward and found that all the temples here are almost the same as ordinary houses in southern Anhui. It seems that temples, buddhist nun and houses can only be distinguished by colors. In the temples here, you can always find the distinctive Huizhou architectural features such as Dahe, patio, horse head wall and wood carving. The architecture of Jiuhua Mountain is a typical Huizhou architecture.
There is a kind of window called windowsill window, which is common in large buildings or family buildings. Temples also combine the Hui school. In order to meet the needs of lighting, the temple windows are relatively large and have glass. There is also a kind of window called skirt waist. Above is the sill window for lighting, and another typical feature is the patio, which is called Guiming Hall in Sishui by Huizhou architecture. The first, second, third and fourth water falls from four eaves and still returns to Tang Ming. The patio is used for ventilation and lighting, but I still stay at home. So although it is a temple, it also combines Confucianism and Huizhou architecture.
In addition to white walls and blue tiles, Jiuhuashan's architecture also has a typical feature: high wall and horse head wall.
When the house next door catches fire, it can stop the fire outside and protect its own safety, so it is also called embankment wall. Yuantong Temple is located in Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area, Chizhou City, Anhui Province (six kilometers southwest of Qingyang County), on the flat top of the mountainside east of Lotus Peak. It belongs to one of the 99 open temples of Jiuhuashan Buddhist Association, and it is the place where Jin Qiaojue, the Tibetan King and Bodhisattva, crossed into the Tang Dynasty to worship Jiuhua.
skill
1. Jiuhua Mountain is one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China. Known as the "Lotus Buddha Country", it is the Dojo of Tibetan Bodhisattva. Visit Buddhist holy places, do as the Romans do, respect religious beliefs, and don't swear when entering temples. If you meet monks in the street, please let them go first as a sign of respect. Don't casually ask sensitive questions such as the reason why monks become monks and their daily life. This is a big taboo.
2. The famous temples in Jiuhua Mountain are widely distributed and are the focus of tourists' visit. However, there are four taboos that tourists should keep in mind when visiting temples to avoid disputes and unpleasantness.
3. Avoid inappropriate addressing. Monks and Taoists in temples should be addressed as "teachers" or "wizards", and monks in charge should be addressed as "abbots", monks, monks and even other insulting names.
4. Avoid inappropriate manners. The common way to greet monks is to put your hands together and lower your head slightly, or to hold your chest with one hand and lower your head slightly. Don't use improper manners such as shaking hands, hugging and touching monks.
5. Don't talk to the monk inappropriately, and don't mention killing, getting married or eating meat, so as not to arouse the monk's antipathy.
6. When you travel in the temple, don't talk loudly, give directions, laugh at or walk around or fiddle with things in the temple. In particular, it is forbidden to touch and carve statues. In case of Buddhist activities, you should stand still or leave quietly. At the same time, we should take good care of our children and don't do impolite things because of their ignorance.
Step 7 enter the door. Visitors should enter from the temple gates on the left and right sides, because stepping into the middle threshold, or even standing or sitting on the threshold, is extremely disrespectful to the Buddha and Bodhisattva.
8. Worship Buddha. Worship Buddha with folded hands, then kneel in front of Buddha's right futon, then palm up shoulder width, knock your head down to futon, turn your palm to the ground when you look up, get up and fold again.
9. Incense. If you are a believer, it goes without saying that there must be three wicks of incense in the incense burner, which is called "burning three wicks of incense". If it is just fate, it must be inserted correctly, otherwise it will be considered disrespectful to the Buddha.
10. Don't wear hard shoes when climbing mountains. Lightweight sports shoes, travel shoes and rubber-soled shoes are the right choice. It is best to wear a pair of thick socks to prevent blisters. There are two ropeways in Jiuhua Mountain, the centennial palace cable car and the rooftop ropeway. If you walk to the Centennial Palace, it takes an hour, and it only takes 30 minutes to walk down. Basically, you just choose to go up. Tiantai Scenic Area is mainly for viewing Tiantai Zen Temple at the top of the mountain. If you walk completely, you will be very tired. It takes about 3.5 hours to climb the mountain. If you take the cableway, you can save time and effort, and the remaining 1000 steps will not be so difficult.
1 1. Ask the price clearly before ordering to avoid unnecessary misunderstanding.
12, Jiuhua Mountain belongs to subtropical monsoon humid climate, rainy and foggy weather, limited hotel conditions in scenic spots, bad conditions and humidity, please understand.
13. The traffic in Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area belongs to the nature of public transportation, and usually the bus leaves when it is full. There will be guests waiting for traffic in the scenic spot, please understand.
