Xian 'an enjoys a moderate geographical location and convenient transportation. 138km Yangtze golden waterway flows eastward, and Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Wuhan-Guangzhou Expressway, Wuhan-Xianyang Intercity Railway, 106, 107, Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway and Hangrui Expressway run through the north and south. Xianning City is located in the southeast of Hubei Province, on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. Being subordinate to Hubei Province, bordering on Hunan and Jiangxi, it is known as the "Southern Gate of Hubei" and is one of the member cities of Wuhan City Circle.
