In the China beauty contest held by National Geographic magazine in China in 2005, Danba Tibetan Village, represented by Jiaju Tibetan Village, was rated as "the six most beautiful villages in China"

Jiaju Tibetan Village is a unique Tibetan building, and every family lives in a village building. Generally, Zhailou sits facing south, some are close to each other in groups of three or five, and some are far away from the building and stand alone. Zhailou covers an area of about 200 square meters, with a height of over15m, and is made of stone and wood. The existing form of Jiaju Tibetan-style residence completely retains the basic features of Jiarong's residence, such as using original materials and technology, and maintaining the traditional and quaint style. Although with the continuous development of history, some changes have taken place in some areas, but these changes have not affected its traditional style and features and the Tibetan rhyme of later generations.

The wooden frame and eaves of A's residence are all red. The walls above the second floor are painted white or the primary colors of the walls alternate with white. The whole building looks like a devout Buddhist sitting cross-legged and chanting. On the eve of the Spring Festival every year, according to the traditional custom, the owner of the village takes the local "white mud" as the main raw material, fry it into white dye through the formula, and carefully paint and dye the walls of the village building, so that the whole village is dressed in white.

Hundreds of residential buildings are in harmony with the natural environment, which embodies the concept of harmonious coexistence between man and nature. The houses on the ground floor are all animal pens, with a pot room, a storage room, a living room, a lecture hall and a watchtower in turn. The second and third floors have patios and open-air balconies respectively. The exterior walls of houses are mostly striped with white, brown and black circles, and painted with sun, moon, stars and religious patterns, showing a beautiful and clean appearance.
