Where is the ruins of Jincheng Ancient Academy? This is not an old college mine. I live in that old college mine.

The former site of this ancient academy is in the neighborhood committee of the ancient academy of Jincheng North Street Sub-district Office. According to historical records, this academy was founded by Cheng Hao, a famous philosopher, educator and one of the founders of Neo-Confucianism in the Northern Song Dynasty. During the Northern Song Dynasty, Cheng Hao served as a county magistrate in Jincheng for three years. During this period, he and his younger brother Cheng Yi founded the Academy, which was used to give lectures and promote learning, and created a prosperous situation of "Zezhou scholars are a dime a dozen", hence the name "Ancient Academy".

In today's ancient academy primary school campus, there is a stone tablet engraved with the name of "Ming Dow, Master of Song Jincheng". According to the people in the primary school, the location of this primary school, which was built in 1975, was built on the old site of the ancient academy garden. Up to now, there is still a well-preserved Wenchang Pavilion on the old site of the ancient academy. There are 4 quadrangle buildings in the early Qing Dynasty in Ming and Qing styles, and only 1 is well preserved. Although these buildings retain the original architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, due to hundreds of years of historical wind and frost, the disrepair style has passed away, many wooden doors and windows with great cultural value are incomplete and damaged, and some houses are in danger of collapse. Nowadays, most of the former sites of ancient academies have become residential buildings.
