Can I stay in a hotel only with an account?

Legal analysis: Hukou could have stayed in the hotel. According to the relevant laws and regulations of public security management in the hotel industry, passengers should register with valid identity documents when staying in the hotel.

According to the provisions of relevant laws and regulations, the identity documents of China citizens mainly include: residence booklet of the People's Republic of China, resident identity card, temporary resident identity card, passport, seaman's card, passport of the People's Republic of China to and from Hong Kong and Macao, and passport of People's Republic of China (PRC) to and from Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions on business. Officers' cards, police officers' cards, civilian cadres' cards, soldiers' cards and student cards issued by China People's Liberation Army and Chinese People's Armed Police Force. Hong Kong and Macao residents travel to and from the Mainland. Travel Permit for mainland travel permit for taiwan residents and People's Republic of China.

China citizens holding the above valid identity documents can register at the hotel. Chinese mainland citizens who really need to go through the boarding formalities without valid identity documents shall declare and verify their identity at the local police station. The police station can print the information of the passenger in the national population information database, and affix the official seal to the passenger as the proof document for handling the flight formalities.

Legal basis: Article 6 of the Measures for the Administration of Public Security in Hotel Industry stipulates that hotels must register when they receive passengers. At the time of registration, the passenger's identity documents shall be checked and truthfully registered according to the prescribed items.

To receive accommodation from overseas tourists, an accommodation registration form shall also be submitted to the local public security organ within 24 hours.
