Ecork Hotel in Evora, Portugal-Composite Cork Building
José Carlos Cruz, a Portuguese architect of Evora Ecork Hotel in Portugal, and his team chose composite cork as the external wall of the main building of the hotel, because this material is very stable, insulating and recyclable. In order to ensure the integrity of materials to the greatest extent, Cruz only opened a few small doors on the external wall to enter the interior of the building. The layout of hotel suites follows the custom of Portuguese hotel layout, and they are all located behind the main building. The suites are mainly designed in white, and each suite has its own private courtyard.
